Oops didn't realise what I posted above was an affiliate link… Sent off my phone.

This is the monitor I was suggesting. Could be useful for comfort and working all day!

    • Very good for $148 delivered.

    • Cool.

  • Don't get TN, go for IPS. there are some good ones under $200.

    • BTW What is TN?

It's the type of panel the monitor has. Modern TNs are generally good for office related work but IPS is recommended for anything that is colour sensitive (like designing). Doesn't mean you cant do design work on a TN, just means the colours won't be as accurate as an IPS.

You'll be fine with a TN.

        • Cool, after I had a chat and did some research, I now feel like owing a 2K monitor. I see a few 2K monitors for < $200. Can you suggest me a 2K monitor? Also 2K comes in both panels you mentioned? TN/IPS?

        • @Sowny: technically 1080p (full HD as you mentioned in your OP) is 2k. Unless you mean 1440p?

        • That's what I thought, until I've tried IPS. Can't go back to TN anymore, won't even look at TN computer screen or laptop any more.

This is the one I bought few years ago: https://www.asus.com/au/Monitors/VX239H/

  • I get my monitors during hard rubbish collection.

    • I break into people's houses and steal them.

    • When is the next dumping day for NSW?

      • Your local council should have it on their webpage.

      • Do you believe all homes in NSW can dump their items on the same day? That would be fairly inefficient :)

Each council will have different rules. Some are default dates, other councils let you phone and arrange a pick up to suit you.
