Looking for Cheap Kitchen Utensils

Hi All,

I'm after the following items but Ikea doesn't really seem like the cheapest option anymore?

Cutlery
Plates
Cups
Pots
Corkscrew
Choppingboard
Knife
Can opener
peeler
Scissors

Is kmart the cheapest? Where's the cheapest place to buy these items now.

Many Thanks,

Alex

Op shop has stacks of that stuff.

    Chopping board I'd buy new

Everything else on your list as long as it's clean then second hand will be just fine.

    • Completely agree with this one. I'm a bit of an Op Shop tragic, mainly books, but I have also been known to buy Op Shop kitchen stuff as well. I would put washable stuff through the dishwasher when you get home but should be A OK. There is an Op Shop near us that has small china bowls that are 50c each that are terrific for cat food bowls. Plain white, works in the microwave and dishwasher. We've bought a stack of them.

  • Kmart, Target, Ikea still have the cheapest, but it depends on individual items, sales, specific shops, etc.

  • Ikea often has sales where they sell 24 piece cutlery sets for cheap (http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/70177665/ <— this one)

  • House website got sale atm
