Van Hire - Brisbane Area - Recommendations? Any Decent Comparison Websites?

Hi,

I'm hoping to hire a moving van to transport furniture to and from my wedding reception.

I'm getting a few younger guys to help me to do, paying them some cash to help me out.

They are on their Green Ps (QLD) and about 19-20 years old, so something to consider.

Anyone know how to get a good deal here? Any websites that help compare the different hire companies?

Thanks!

  • I've only ever rented for quick jobs, so I can't speak to overall rates, but:

If you only need it for a few hours and there's a depot (Generally a Coles Servo) nearby, check out "Select": http://www.utecarrentals.com.au/

You can rent for like 2 hours, and the van I used from them was a big LWB Hiace automatic, good repair and actually kind of fun to drive. You can have a peek in the back of one and see if it's got the space you need.

You can also rent utes from Bunnings by the hour, I've done this and it was pretty painless, but the storage space in just the tray doesn't really cut it for volumes of furniture, and dragging a trailer around is a pain.
