Hi All,

Just stumbled upon this method for getting a GoPro Hero 5 Blac for $388 at The Good Guys with a bonus $50 voucher if you use Click and Collect.

Gopro Hero 5 Black $438

Use Promo Code: CA50TGG = -$50

New Total: $388

Choose Click and Collect and then you will be eligible for a $50 store credit for spending between $350-$649.

Information on the Click and Collect Promotion:

How it works
1.Purchase a product or products over the value of $150 from thegoodguys.com.au during the promotional period and select to 'pick up' your order.
Search nearby stores.
2.Once you have completed your order, you will receive an email to let you know when your product's are ready for collection. The purchase must be collected by Friday 24th November 2017. Any purchases collected after Friday 24th November 2017 will not be eligible to receive the store credit.
3.On Tuesday 5th December 2017, the store credit will be sent out to the purchaser's nominated email address. You will not need to claim your store credit.

(Conditions do say that CA50TGG is not to be used with any offer but my invoice doesnt show that a promo code was used it just shows the price of the GoPro as $388).

      Yeah a spare battery costs $35 at Jb Hifi and Good Guys at the moment.

    Have the waterproofing issues been resolved in the hero 5? Only reason I've been holding off.

        Yeah quite disappointing and gopro don't cover water damage so it's a gamble. Really wanted to get one with a waterproof gimbal but knowing it could fail under normal conditions just turned me off.

          I use it in water all the time never had a problem. I got it because it is waterproof without a case. Just don't push it beyond its depth limits. I'm looking forward to the hero6 getting to this price.

        Their argument for not price matching when I called them over the phone wascause it uses a promo code, they won't allow it. I'm trying to see if the promo code shows up on the receipt as well, if not, might have a chance to kick em where it hurts.

          I think we are just hoping for the 388 price match. I don’t know why promo codes aren’t considered valid.
          Then add another 12 to get to the 400 needed for the Amex rebate

          @Hoju: in this situation it's not a discounted price - the price highlighted in the title factors in a store voucher so the receipt will not show $388 as the final price. The point of price matching is to get you to shop in a store, not to make the business lose money. Just put yourself into a retailer's shoes - they want to make some kind of profit from a sale or at least cover the costs of the product and staff and rent and insurance, etc…

          The retail price is 438
          With a COUPON CODE it’s 388 ($50 discount)

          PLUS you get a $50 store voucher.

          So the cost is essentially $338 but we are only seeking the $388 price match.

          According to the terms and conditions you will receive the in site voucher on the 5th November. Perhaps screenshot the promotion in case it doesn't come through on the 5th.

          @wolfshooter: every since Gerry started bitching and whinning about online shopping rather than doing something about it to keep customers, I've never felt inclined to shop at HN. Even if their prices were good, I rather price match else where as other competitors are willing to walk to walk.

          I figured with the Amex deal it might be worth a shot to see if they changed, evidently not. Can't wait for Amazon to come in and destroy Gerry.

    Just picked up mine from Alexandria NSW and the attendant asked me how I got it so cheap hehe this code popped up for by accident yesterday and was a deal too good not to jump on! Fingers crossed I can get the TRS when I go overseas in a couple of weeks as well and I'm laughing :)
