BuzzTelco "SCAMCO", No Support Ticket Reply, Took My Money and Ran, Service Dropout Because Forgot to Pay NBN Co. for Bandwidth

I paid $209 for one of their special 100/40 deals for a NBN HFC preorder 6 months ago and received no router, no service installation or service/support. They should really be banned from this website. They are a shock horror company and had service dropouts for a few days because they forgot to pay NBN Co. or their reseller.

The order was pending installation for 3 months after I told them NBN had arrived, after receiving countless emails from other ISP's. Nothing happens crickets

They also banned my client area account for complaining to the ombudsman.

They do not refund my money for a preorder. Set and forget. Very poor service. Do not answer to emails. I complained to telecommunications ombudsman about them. Do not recommend it.

Moral of this story, don't always go for the cheapest deal. You get what you pay for. Nothing and a headache.

When I called them for a refund I was told by the billing team the manager is not in call back in 2 hours.

    Any progress with TIO?

    • I called them again on my mobile. Its saying no valid response on phone. Looks like line cut or blocked my number.
      Complaint only just filed today.

  • In the TIO complaint I said: Force them to Refund me the money and make a public apology. Make them pay a fine for false advertising and deceptive and misleading conduct.

    Chargeback through Credit Card?

    • They said they don't have the details of the transaction or its with their payment processor is probably high risk so they only do bank transfer for refunds. They asked for my bank details and never paid me. I have to look at my statements for my credit cards to find the transaction and it was 6 months ago, a preorder too…

      • Good point. I'm sure you will get the money back…eventually.

    Go through the TIO, it takes time and is a pain but they know what's going on and got my money back after buzz tried all the tricks to steal my money.

    Keep records of dates transactions amounts and communication.

    They should be closed down to never reopen

      • Charge in advance, then claim they can't return it to credit cards, no internet or phone, changed there numbers and address, claimed they returned the money, closed my tickets, blocked access..you name it

    My opinion, I joined up with them on the $49 deal, couple of hiccups(for me) along the way but have to say for a small company that just went too big too fast they have done alright by me.

    I'm on FTTP and I average 90+mb DL, worst being around the 50mb mark so I cant complain especially when I went from Telstra 25/5, which was giving me more headaches than Buzz!

    I think if they didn't post on here chances are they would have grown slowly and been more organised and successful but we all love a bargain and they had 00's of people joining instantly.

    Im still struggling with TIO, Bank and Buzz for their “mistake” desucting 3months of fees ahead of time.

    Since jumped to AussieBB with first month free and double data. Telecube looking good (use them for work) but im moving soon so they had a setup fee and move fee…

    • If you paid by credit card, just call them and file a charge back. That's how I got my money back after being reasonable and jumping through their hoops.
