Excellent game, very challenging and cooperative. A lot of game mechanics but quite straightforward. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get into board games.

similar enough that you probably don't need to own both unless you're a pandemic fanatic or love the theme.
probably better than vanilla pandemic though, if a friend has pandemic and you've always liked it this would be a great pickup (especially at this price) but if you've got the base game you're probably better off considering the expansions.
