Stretch Limousine Hire (Limo) for 14 People - Wedding Day

Hi Ozbargain,

If you look at my post history, I've been asking for a lot of advice regarding my wedding day!

Only 19 days away now!

One of the final things to organise is transport. We have a huge bridal party - 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen! Including ourselves, that's 14!

To the church - myself and my six groomsmen are just thinking of going in ourselves. We'll probably hire a car for bride and her Dad and use a friend's people mover for the 6 bridesmaids.

BUT from the church to the reception, I’m thinking of hiring a 14 seater stretch limo for all of us! Just for an hour. The best I've found for 14 pax is $450 for an hour's hire (it's only a 10 min journey).

What do you think? Any ideas on how to do this better?

        Did ubers for my wedding. The wife + her party had a london cab driven by a relative. The boys and I got ubers to the wedding. After the wedding, myself and the bride got photos nearby and then go the london cab to the reception venue for more photos. Bridal party had a few beers local then got themselves to the reception in ubers/got lifts with other people. It all worked out.

        Your party are grown adults and you don't have to plan every minutiae. Tell them a plan and they'll figure it out.

    I'd just pay the $450. Will need it for longer than 10 mins anyway by the time it waits around for everyone to get in, and the photographer gets all his shots.

    See if you can book it for 30mins before and 30mins after?

    Can you organise for them to do the scenic tour to the venue ? Drive around the block , stop for some photos etc

    The bride and groom normally get separate cars to the wedding.

    My advise would be to ask your bride to be what she wants and do that. Don’t skimp out on your wedding

    Limo sounds like a great option OP. If you are wondering what to do with the extra time you paid for, let me remind you that a limo is very spacious! It is your wedding day after all ;)
