GoG: MDK for Free (PC & Mac Game)

1390

The link to the free game is at the top of GoG's homepage. The game is normally $10 US, and more information is here: https://www.gog.com/game/mdk

Since it was published in 1997, the graphics look pretty aweful (I don't think it supported 3D accelerators), but no worse than any recent indie pixelart game on Steam. The gfx are much more attractive on the sequel, MDK2, but it is currently full price on GoG.

Perusing GoG's site, i also noticed that a lot of EA titles (oldies of course) are 75% off. Some I would recommend are Dragon Age Origins, Ultima 6 & 7, Wing Commander, SimCity 4, Dead Space, & Jade Empire: https://www.gog.com/games?devpub=electronic_arts&sort=popula…

  • The video game that first had a sniper gun with a zoom if I remember correctly.

  • Cheers, played this on pc and psx back in the day.

  • Oh my god the nostalgia…

    • Yeah, and the mention of Ultima 6&7 wipes tears away. How I miss Dupre, Shamino, and Iolo.

Awesome. Got the demo of this on one of those PC Gamer discs. Played the hell out of it then. Now I can play it all now.

    Thanks OP

heh IIRC the demo had a benchmark test at the start. It would only let you play if you had a minimum of Pentium 60

  • I was obsessed with this game on PS1. Thanks OP, I'll pick this up for sure.

  • Loved playing this game. Was a little weird but fun.
MDK2 definitely took the franchise in a different direction with the 6 legged dog.

  • Absolutely loved this game back in the day. How can you not like a huge gun stuck to your head?
