      I think if you have the base game (WoL) you can get HotS free but this one is not as far as I can see. You can play a couple of missions but not the whole thing.. well I couldn't anyway!

    Correction: Sorry op, Legacy of The Void is locked and still needs to be paid. It's $22 is you buy it from the game directly.

    Lets get the clarification on "free" done right…

    1. The multiplayer component and the Wings of Liberty campaign is free now. So are some of the co-op commanders but you can level the non-free ones to lvl 5.

    2. The Heart of the Swarm campaign requires a purchase. However, if you redeemed a retail copy of WoL prior to 31 Oct 2017, you can pick up HotS for free as a gift from the launcher up until sometime in early December.

    3. The Legacy of the Void campaign, the Nova Ops mission packs, and remaining cosmetic purchases are not free.

      Nvm .. I just noticed I already owned HoTS from the $15 deal @EB Games last year.

    I'm pretty sure Legacy of the Void was unlocked for me when I downloaded StarCraft 2 earlier this week (never bought it before)

      Bizarre, I could select the Legacy of the Void campaign too. But then again I had purchased WoL and HotS at retail…

        Nope, it must have been a glitch. Checked again and it says purchase to play for the LotV main story. :(

          @Cap N: yeah I just had a look. It is locked. When I saw it first on the selection screen, they weren't locked like the Nova Covert Ops one was, so I assumed they were ok. Sorry! my bad
