  • Why do I feel like a JB Hifi salesperson all of a sudden?

You arent going to get a good drone for $100.

What you want to look for is:
Fly Time(Battery Life). A lot of the shitty ones have 10 mins.
Charge Time (Shitty ones take 3 hour charge for 10 mins)
Get one with a camera. A camera that can shoot 720p or 1080p.
make sure it has a remote and is not being controlled by your phone. (if your phone loses connection to the drone say goodbye to the drone)

    Good brands
    Parrot (low End)
    DJI (high End)
Dont by drones from no name brands or that are licenced to a movie. Yes that Xwing drone looks boss but it will fly like shit and will only run for 5 mins.

  • $100 does not get you a decent drone, seriously, anything with a half-decent set of features will run you around $500 minimum (DJI Phantom 3 Std).

If you want a toy that you will be sick of in 3 weeks, then these are fine.

  • Depends on if you need to get it over a wall… and drop something off…. and be able to crash it with in flammables and run so its not tracked back to you…

  • I'd say buy a drone that can carry a go pro. Also some drones hover and follow the controller, at $100 though your fairly limited.

What to look out for in a Drone?

I suggest that you look out for trees, buildings, walls, people, and so on.
