  • I was in officeworks yesterday looking at colour pencils for gifts to go with colouring books and a pack of 12 goes for $29.95. I just got 48 faber castell for $16.98 but this is tempting for myself. great find and timing!

  • Colored Pencils, Soft Core

Prefer the Hard Core ones. They last longer…

Ah. The same joke you used last time.

        Who's joking?

I purposely left the soft core out of the description so he wouldn’t recycle that joke…

  • This is an awesome price. I posted this last time when they were AUD$96 delivered.

Stealing my comment from last time:

These are very highly regarded among professional artists. This set costs $229 at Eckersleys.

These are NOT your kid's colouring pencils. This is something for the serious or aspiring artist. They won't make you better at drawing or colouring, but if you're keen on these, this is a good price.

  • Regarding this in the description "Thick, robust leads resist cracking", the main complaint I've heard about Prismacolors (besides waxy build up) is that the leads often can crack inside the pencil.

It's why I invested in a big Faber-Castell Polychromos set. But I couldn't help myself last time and bought a big set of these too.

  • I missed out last time and always regretted that so I'm definitely getting these now! Thanks OP

  • comes up as US$91.79 at 6:20pm sunday night Daylight Savings Time (I'm in QLD, so its 5:20pm here).. does this mean I have missed the deal?

    • Looks like its finished. I did notice it was out of stock earlier and defaulting to a seller at that price, but you could still buy on backorder from Amazon. Doesn't seem to be an option anymore.
