Flight time? Change in China?
13 hours. 2 hour stop over in China. Next cheapest flights are about $1300
Even a hardcore Ozbargainer would be pressed to double the flight time with 2 changes in china (where nobody speaks English.) customer service is atrocious at best in China. Guangzhou airport is the worst I've been to.

If you have t clear customs, you will definitely be late for your plane. Planes are usually delayed to wait for this reason.
In short, total nightmare. And I'm not an entitled, concierge-using, comfort-at-any-cost-seeker.
@tightwad: but it’s the same airline. And I’m pretty sure u don’t clear customs when you are staying on the departures side
Probably not, but you'll most likely have to change planes.

@tightwad: haha I appreciate the heads up. You know the saving of about $500 paid for my accomodation for the week, so we’ll see. Also, it’s likely I’ll just dump a sleeping tablet for the trip so it should be forgotten.

You need your wits about you whilst at the airport. Taking a tablet might not be a good idea.
Btw got flights price matched by flight centre who also own aunt Betty anyway

Yep, exact same flight. Flight centre were flexible with departure times too.
