  Most of the pods you stock are cheaper when on sale at the supermarket and they are on sale regularly, which is a shame because I don't mind the Republica Organic range.

    +1 from me for the Republica range. Taste is good, the pods fit my Nespresso machine well (some other 'compatible' pods stick), and they are fully biodegradable so no guilt when tossing them in the bin.

    Agree that the price for the pods (even after allowing for membership discounts) may not be as good as when they are on special at the local supermarket, but they are generally pretty good (Republica usually only gets marked down to $5, rarely $4…. and with this the New York variant is $3.25 and I've never seen it that cheap before) plus also get free postage (I scored premium, but you don't need to order much to get that…. or just get $35 worth of pods). I'll also note that sometimes my local supermarket doesn't have 'em, in particular when they are on special! :-(

      What are your thoughts on the New York variant? I've only had the Paris pods previously.

        Only recently tried the New York version - definitely stronger. Didn't mind it at all (and just picked up another couple of boxes then) but the Paris variant is my standard go-to pod.

        The strongest strength from Republica Organic is the Rome range with indicated rating of 12 (Paris is 10, New York is 11). We think New York is well balanced in terms of strength between Paris and Rome, Rome is just a little bit… too much! But it goes well with milk.

        edit: New York strength is 11, not 10, and Paris is 10 not 8. Strength ratings have been updated with the new packaging.

    I think you may be restricted to just two boxes (20 pods) at the reduced price. Probably best to just get one or two boxes anyhow if you've never had it before, in case you don't really enjoy it. I tend to prefer the more mellow columbian style but if you like stronger blends I'd also try the Republica "Rome" as well as the Di Bella "Ari" and maybe the Podista "double shot".
