  • Still waiting for them to fulfil my purchase from last time

    • Cant say Ive had any issues with them, my Black Friday order arrived within 5 working days. Hope thy come through for you.

  • I wish this was wireless :(

    • The other link in the description is wireless with an Ipad type system which records onto a Micro Card.

      • Thanks so much x

  • So can I just buy the camera itself and connect to my router or do I need to buy the whole ecosystem?

    • +2

From what I can understand with the unit is they give you an Ethernet cable which connects to a router or your modem or you use the wireless component of it which is why there is an antenna on the back. Only requires a power connection, unless you use the above method.

      • Hmm thanks, it does sound that way. Wish they made it clearer before I put down $

        • +1

true, I have just read some of the reviews and people are referring to an Ethernet connection or wireless (one mentions the micro sd card). So could be good to read the reviews to ascertain what your after.

        • Also you can ring Swann in Australia and speak to someone in Sales.

        • @Dj86:

          Cheers!

  • Is the cloud free to use?

    • Up to a certain amount of memory then you pay. I believe from reviews you can install a memory card into the unit but cant confirm for you.

      • Thanks. Can I erase the old memory if it reaches the limit, so never have to pay?

        • I believe it overwrites itself unless you call up a moment of recording for an event and save to a hard drive on your computer.

  • This or Xiaomi xiaofang dafang dabian ?

  • Thanks OP. Finally bought a security camera. Been putting it off as I know a lot of people have problems with these home DIY kits. This looks like a cheap but reasonable quality model to give a try.

    • +1

I have installed 3 Swann systems and they are a breeze, apart from crawling in a roof. They are very good quality and are a peace of mind purchase. Excellent viewing away from home too.

  • I'm at the start of researching camera security, I basically want video coverage of just one or two rooms in the house in case of intruder/theft for identifying purposes and deterrent. Battery backup in case of power tampering, and live streaming of video to an offsite location for viewing and backup storage. Internet/power would be too easy to take out on most domestic houses so what do people rely on for this, built in sim cards?

    • Don’t know on the battery back up, you could use an alarm battery/inverter maybe?

    • PoE cameras with a UPS for the PoE switch.

  • Does anyone know if you can disable the cloud features of this and connect it to a a motion based server. Does it support rstp and onvif?

  • +1

So theres no point of getting ADW-410 kit and additional cameras then. Since the monitor and one camera only cost $159, purchasing additional cameras at $170!?
May as well get 4 sets at $159 each and have 4 monitors.

  • Thx OP bought 2. Still showing $55 price so not sure why marked as expired. Cheers

    • Not sure, it was a Cyber Monday Sale (supposedly Monday only)?
