Google Pixel (Silver) 128GB $729 + Delivery at Kogan

110

Another price drop, this time for the 128 GB version.

Of course, this isn't a great deal if you are not specifically after a Pixel and are simply looking for a great value Android phone (as many have written before).

Amen, sick and tired of reading the same dribble every time a Pixel deal is posted here.

    • They do it cause there are so many trolls who love to neg those that don't claiming it's not a bargain.

The fact this is supplied by Kogan HK, and the inclusion of an "International charger" in the box makes me believe this is not an Australian version.

      You nailed it mate.

    • Thanks, I've removed Australian from the title and description just in case.

      • Hi all! I can confirm this is genuine Australian stock that is shipped from one of our overseas facilities. All of these phones come with the original AU/NZ USB-C 18W adaptor in the box. This was previously incorrectly listed on our website but has now been corrected.

It's not Australian stock if it's outside the country.

  • $729 for unlimited full size photo uploads. Better than any cloud storage subscription

    • Which doesn't appear to expire for the original Pixel but unfortunately seems to for the Pixel 2, if this source is reliable.

Still awaiting for the XL 2 in B&W to become available via Kogan

  • As usual .. Kogan is a rip-off. $525~ on Ebay (after conversion).

    • You can get a further 5% off with P5OZZIE ebay coupon

    • That only comes with 60 days seller warranty

  • Genuine question: Is the Pixel worth it? Why or why not?

    Unlimited photo storage sounds great?

    • Probably not worth it if you don't value unlimited photo storage or the stock Android interface, which are two things I value highly. Excluding those things, there are probably far better value propositions out there in terms of Android phones. Just my opinion though.

      • Would be so kind to list what other "far better value" propositions exist?

        Thanks :)

        • I'm no phone expert but I think the galaxy S8 is an excellent phone for a bit more money. Have also heard good things about the LG G6 if you are OK with an older phone. I'm sure there are heaps of other good options others would come up with.

        • @eswes: Yeah I have never been a fan of Samsung, they have most likely improved their OS since it's bloatware days and while it does look nice, it's also quite big. I'm not sure how I feel about there being absolutely no side bezels - I can see a lot of accidental presses. Thanks anyway and lets see what others come up with!

@pennypincher98: Yeah, I know what you mean. Those are my issues with the S8 as well.

  • I cant look at Google Pixel as an option until they have SD card slot.

    • I can't look at any Android phone as an option until they have decent GUIs.

      • arnt all phone pretty much the same GUI wise.
