BlitzWolf BW-LT1 Smart LED Desk Lamp with 2.1a USB Charging $0.13 AUD (Was $60.41 AUD) Free Shipping 5 Only

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Checking out the Banggood website today I saw they are advertising 24hrs of 'Snap Up' specials, a series of timed deals with limited numbers of stock. Thought this one was a super price, especially considering you can select AU plug and its free shipping. Unfortunately its limited to 5 units so have to be quick I guess.

Have had previous good experiences with banggood picking up previous bargains on blitzwolf cables etc.

This deal goes live 10pm AEDST. Good luck guys

PS - Happy for deal to be removed if not allowed based on limited unit numbers…

Was reported by someone for insufficient stock - moved to forum as not a deal?
    Only 5 worldwide… Good luck!

  • Message 5 seconds before countdown ended..
Sorry. The item was just sold out. Good Luck Next Time😠

    • haha i clicked right as it turned 0 and it said sold out! Wonder if any Ozbargainers got them.

      • I clicked every few seconds in last 30 seconds - showed not available yet, then sold out before deal was supposed to be live.

        • Yeah waste of time ive tried twice and both times they were sold out before the timer reached zero
Good that this was demoted to a forum post.

These sales make me not want to buy from them anymore. I hate these no stock stupid sales.

        • @unifex:
We were never likely to win.
Only 5 available worldwide, scripts likely snapping them up, timer slow against actual time,…

  • Yeah that was fast I followed the rules and reloaded before 1 minute and at 0 seconds gg no re.

    • Countdown was a few seconds slow against actual time.
Would never beat the bots any way.

      • Yeah I'm guessing we got Australian timed.. those cables take forever to bring stuff down to Oz all the way from China land.

i guess some pros out there ran script to grab deals like these

ozb ain't pro enough to compete for 5 qty worldwide

  • What the hell man.
Came back to the page when there was around 7 minutes or so to go. So I left it, went to YouTube instead.
I was back on the page at 9:58. I refreshed it, with around 65 seconds left on the clock.
The "Snap Up" button was grey already.
I thought something was going on… so I refreshed it again, and now there was about 20 seconds left on the clock, that's when I noticed it had 5/5 Items sold.

So someone (maybe Banggood themselves) manage to bypass the system and buy it early.
Not sure if they bought it 6 minutes early or 40 seconds early… since I was careful but not that careful of their page.

Overall, this was a scam. And a complete waste of time. I will not be participating in these competitions again, and it left a sour taste about Banggood's online store.
I don't think I will purchase through them again, if they are this underhanded.

    • Were not sold out or available about 10s before timer ended, then all gone at 5s. But, their countdown clock was running slow against advertised time of promotion.

Even if restricted to just Ozbargain (8k online now), this deal would have only lasted around 1 second. So no basis for your conspiracy theory.

      • I noticed the clock running slow, that's why I came just over 1 minute.
Not sure, but it wasn't available to me at 9:59, around 20 seconds left on the clock… they were all sold.

I wished I did a screen shot, but at the time I wasn't thinking about it, instead focusing on trying to buy it.
I know it would've sold in the first 5 seconds, so the chance of me (or anyone here) to buy would be quite low.
Low, unless you use a bot to fire off multiple purchase requests before, during, and after the deadline.
If it was 5 seconds early, sure, I would've said it was bots (with good latency). It was far moved from the deadline.
In fact, it was at least 20 seconds, and closer to 35-40 seconds when it was sold out.
I not only had the time on the computer, their site, but also an Atomic Clock linked Casio on my wrist, fyi.

So its no conspiracy theory, it actually happened (and its not impossible to happen, depending on how their backend is programmed, it could be open for abuse by programmers clever-er than I).

        • I want what you're having. Or maybe I already have some lol.. phew.

Again, it depends on the backend of Banggood and how susceptible they are to certain queries.
No conspiracy needed, just some bright programmers.

And yes, I am high, high on life…. with some ….

        • @Kangal: lol I love south park

  • I just remembered about this at 10.11pm lol

    • That's just unprofessional (not to set an alarm)😢

Haha I guess I was realistic about my chances anyway.
