The Samsung Galaxy S is back in stock with Vodafone and available on a better 12 month contact than before i.e. $700 dollars worth of calls (was $650 previously), unlimited, untimed calls vodafone to vodafone and Three, unlimited texts, 2GB internet.

Choose the 12 month option on $69 cap to maximise your savings and call benefits and reduce handset repayments to $5 pm. 3 months free access and 10% discount works out to $618.90 over 12 months.

$62.10 * 9 months = 566.1 ($69 less 10% discount is 62.10 * 9 months (3 free months access)
$5 * 12 = $60
Total = $618.90
i.e $51.80 outgoings per month for 12 months.

This phone goes like a rocket after installing Ryans One Click lag fix. I got the Desire HD as well but still prefer the Samsung Galaxy S to it.

Next best phone available is Nokia N8, but who wants a Nokia in this day and age?

Ths deal has been published before, but Samsung Galaxy S went out of stock (Ozbargained?) really quickly, is back in stock now, and higher call value ($700 vs old $650) distinguish it from previous deal.

And yes, in theory, you need to be a NRMA roadside assistance member, but my experience in getting three contracts from them, is that Vodafone dont really care!

    I ordered but olike the person who posted previously my tracking of the order seems abit all over the joint.

    I was told early next week for delivery.

    I do have a fax number if anyone wants to spam them there.

    I am in WA and got my phone today. I ordered on Saturday but had to re-send my drivers licence due to change of address sticker on the back not coming through on the fax.

      Did they send any notification you were going to receive the phone i.e. delivery tracking ID or delivery status on the Vodafone order tracking link? Just like to know, I bought my phone on Sunday with no dramas. I reside in NSW though.

        Yes I entered the WS-R order number and it said processing and jumped around due to credit check stuff up. It got processed again on 24/11/10 then 2 days later I got it.

    Just called Voda again.. received a confinement number as they said they have sent my phone out to Australian Air Express. Called Australian air express and was told theres no confinement number of that sort.. dont think my phone will be here any time soon =((

    I got mine within the week and I am in WA. Your order will say that the phone has been sent. I did pester them quite a bit though so maybe that helped and don't forget it is busy season for couriers now.

    My issue is this: I got a bill and it had no mention of the 10% discount. When I first applied I got a statement showing the 10% discount. Does anyone know when it applies - the 10% and 3 months free?

    I am thinking of ordering 2 more for family the phone is great and has left me with a huge :) on my face.

    I ordered last Sunday and received it today at 9.30am in the morning by a courier. It came in a small brown box covered wrapped in a brown paper bag. LOL

    Thanks repeated_love and ChemicalMan. What I have noticed is that most usually come here to complain and never report back when they receive their phones. You guys did thanks for that.

    I ordered this monday 29/11 before noon. And below is what I have so far. The staff from india had no visibility of my order other than transferring me to Australian staff. I was told I passed the credit check and that I should have it by tomorrow and it is (not sure the "Order" or the "Mobile") is at the warehouse. Still no consignment number.

    looks like a 2 day difference until a courier scans it on their PDA although not all couriers scan their items correctly.

    i thought i read 5 - 10 days for delivery.

    Guys, when you get the phone and activate the sim (mine was not activated as per enclosed letter) make sure you are not on the $10 handset repayments and also not on the old $650/m. It took me a few hours to sort it out.

    I just got my first bill 2 months later on and some pro rated amount. That's not all though as I didn't get the 3 months free and the phone repayment wasn't $4.50.

    I rang Voda and got through to accounts. I asked them to explain the bill then said here is were I am probably going to lose you…Guy put me on hold for 2 minutes to speak to an expert as to why I didn't get 3 months waived. After 10 minutes I got cut off. Did not receive a call back even though they had my bill, name and mobile number in front of them.

    I wrote down time and date and will be going to TIO tomorrow.
