    WHich would be better Sonos Play 1 or Bose Revolve ? Sonos Play 1 currently around $230.

      I think they are two different product categories as the bose is a portable bluetooth speaker with water resistance and the sonos is a home speaker setup that runs wifi etc.

        Fair call. The Sonos is only 240V as you say, but not really home speaker setup as you can move them around…. as long as you have 240V. BT vs Wifi correct.

        Pound for pound soundwise, anyone compared them ?

        Sonos is a home speaker in that it needs to be plugged in and as such will most likely exclusively be used in the home.

        The Bose is a battery powered portable speaker that does not need to be plugged in, so can be used at the beach, at a picnic, etc as well as in the home. Two different product categories.

        The Bose equivalent of Sonos Play 1 is the Bose SoundTouch 10, not this.

      I asked harvey norman guy to pricematch with video pro to 395, add nything extra for 5$, i got aa battery for 5$. This will make the total to 400, less 100$ amex offer. It brings it down to 300. Also if someone is travelling, u can claim gst for 35$.
      Which makes it 265$

      A very decent price for such a wonderful box

  Having a Soundlink Mini 2 and having purchased a BOSE Revolve+. Fantastic speaker. The handle also sold me too. It is so easy to hold around.
  Long battery life, great sound no matter where you are standing. It pumps!
  Tempted to get another one to pair up and run a dual system but i think i'll behave this time.. Thanks OP!

    I am pretty sure these are thermos with bluetooth.

    And maybe band28
