I couldn't find the information about the costs and packages for posting a property on realestate.com.au. I think only a real estate agent will have information about this.

As far as i'm aware, realestate.com.au only sell packages (ie, 500 listings, forget the cost, but it's not that cheap) rather than one-offs, probably because of the real estate agencies.
The website is technically only for agents to list on, though there are some cheap no commission 'agent' websites that let you get around this.
I recently helped someone list a property using http://www.noagentproperty.com.au/
Not the cheapest one around, though it also included a few other websites like Domain, a photo sign board for out the front and some brochures.
Just checked my notes, cheapest one I came across was $219:
