Lexar Platinum II 32GB SD Card $10 (Org. Price $28) at Woolworths

780

Pick up a couple of these on special at O’Connor Woolworths store, not sure if national, can not find on their site. Good value for equipments not needing “extreme” speed. Also no need to wait for delivery.

half box full today so should be some left

I saw it in another store.

  • Sounds like the 45MBps read speed is a bit generous: https://havecamerawilltravel.com/photographer/fastest-sd-car…
For the price it is fairly good.To obtain a faster product you would need to spend double the price at MSY.

I haven't tested my camera with a micro SD in an adapter. Apparently some cameras don't like, which seems strange.

Micro SD in an adapter works fine for me….but the OP post isn't about a micro SD card?

      • +1

LOL these SD cards deals always caught out some people assuming micro SD cards all the time.

    • +2

The Lexar Platinum II tested on that page appears to be a different model.
It says it's a 100x model, but there are also 200x and 300x ones and the one in this deal is the 300x.

      Thanks for the insight

Have a +1. You can use an adapter to go full size SD (which none of my devices use) and USB with a $1 one. No reason to neg here.

Cheers mate, just what I needed to know.

  • personally I stick with Sandisk for reliability reasons, but Lexar are the next best thing.

      Samsung is good too.

There isn't enough SD card posts. Everything is about the microSD nowdays.

    • +1

That's because they're more versatile. Can be used in more devices, or as a full size SD with the use of a cheap adaptor
That said it did mean I spent more for some micros that I'm just going to use as full size because I couldn't find any full size deals

    • +2

Most MicroSD cards also come with an adapter that will turn it into an SD card.

  • That's a great deal for a quality Card…now it's just a matter of finding a Woolworths that actually has stock.

I just bought 5 from Marden in SA, they still have half a box left. They have them at the customer service desk but still have the original price tag on them but they scanned at $10. No stock at North Park, Walkerville or Northgate. Thanks for the great find.

Today Woolworth Kingsgrove have about 10 , but no price , I took 5 to the counter , they scan $10 each .

    • 1 left as of now.

  • Not at Woolies Canterbury Gardens, Kilsyth :(

16gb has been reduced to $5. I just bought 3 at Woodvale WA

    • Should post it … much stock ?
