I feel kiiinda bad on my local cafe. I only ever go in when there's $2 coffee offers on.
Second this, however I suspect Skip is covering the difference?
Actually no. I once saw a receipt and the cafe sees the total you paid. She questioned me on it once and I said it was a corporate discount haha.
That sucks for the cafe, but I'd be surprised if it was the cafe coughing the difference, and it would be really stink for the small cafe owners (as they are already undercut for having Skip fees in the first place). But then again being able to see the price paid doesn't always mean thats the revenue they are getting?
I saw the full amount on the coffees I have ordered on a discount. The cafe I use puts the coffee on top of the receipt.
I suspect Skip are covering the costs to build up an active user base and create some habitual users of the product.
I haven't tried this app yet.
Does the Skip app price always match the menu price, or is Skip pushing the prices up like MenuLog/Foodora ?
I once talked an owner of a cafe. He said Skip pays the same amount and he was happy as it actually gives him more customers.

Bluebag in QV underground food court is pretty good, they use St Ali beans, also upstairs is Squisito Bar serving Sensory Lab coffee. The wait wont be as long as Honest Coffee
