I reckon it's the moisture content. Oddly if u soak them in water regularly like when u go swimming or beach and they don't dry out too much. They seem to last longer.Only one; I thought they came in pairs usually?
I get over 3 years from a woollies pair but I take mine off and carry them when I need to take the bolt
I've got mine from Aldi's about 2 years ago and still going strong, look almost new still.
Seriously? My havaianas (3 of them) didn't last me a year. Do actually leave it indoors or something or do not use it very much?

Seems to be two quality types with these. The aldi/bigw/woolies/Kogan ones are definitely of a poorer quality (made in Brazil I think) compared to the ones in surf shops.
I’ve had the $25 genuine pair and into my forth year
no matter the brand or quality its always the plug that kills the thong.
that said ive had plenty of cheap ones and surf shop ones and agree that they feel like more comfortable rubber and less wear and tear.

wow those grey brasil havaianas havent changed one bit since i got a 'genuine' pair some 8 years ago now. The rubber dried out and the plug broke free early this year, but $28 for 8 years is a pretty good run i'd say.
