    $799 year 2000 price smashed, never thought i would see that again, so close to $699, just insane low, lets do dinner/lunch and return :-)

    Argh, I literally bought flights yesterday via BudgetAir, but now there's a bunch of others who (probably) don't charge the $100 fee for Credit Card payment, grrr…

    I'd given up on Qanta-LA sales for this time period, I figures that was all over in the surge a month ago :(

    Any suggestions on oneway? I just need to get over to USA (cruising out). Oneway is exactly the same cost as return :-(

      I haven't checked prices recently but one avenue to consider is flying to HNL via Jetstar and then flying domestic on a separate ticket. Usually works out cheaper but there is extra hassle and risk.

      Book a return ticket and just don't fly on the one back. Will still be cheaper than a one way.

    This is tempting…the next Jeff Horn fight will be in Vegas around April, and I want to take 1 last trip on the 747-400 before it's imminent retirement from QF's fleet.

    How reliable/trustworthy are resellers like budgetair and the rest? I tried to pricematch via flightcentre (i have a bunch of points) but they rejected me since they are not au companies, and dont have an ABN.

    If you want seat selection and you don’t have status it will cost $140 extra for two pax to choose seats MEL-LAX Return. You really do want to select your seats on this route.

    Remind me never to book using www.budgetair.com.au ever again.

    I booked some great flights from Melb -> LAX through the www.iwantthatflight.com.au special here using budgetair as the ticket issuer, and they cancelled the confirmed tickets a week later without warning. Whilst I was refunded, it meant I missed out on the special price as it was too late to book again using another intermediary.

    The service from budgetair was absolutely woeful - do not use them!!
