i was looking for a great price for this exact model and was wondering when will it come down to 300$ range..

I was really contemplating the use of this airfryer to conventional oven for roasting and small tasks..
Doesn't airfryer remove the need of pre heating the oven?? and does this use less electricity than a oven..i think this is 2000w were as in ovens they use more i guess..

    • Ovens are lower wattage but will use more electricity.

Also want one of these but I just can't justify the price, they're so expensive and I don't want a cheap one.

      • @scab.. i was thinking of 49$ plan from jb..so that i will get 200$ gift card and then price matching to this and buy a 150$ gift card with 5 % off from entertainment book..
so that price will be less than 100$ after philips cashback:P

or instead of 150$ purchase from entertainment book.. re contract the 49$plan to 59$ plan with jb so i get another 100$ so all together 300$ jb money and then buy 50$ with 5% off and then get 50$ back so Airfryer for free. i think isn't that we are here for??? to get a BARGAIN :)

That's too much work, can you get me one and send it to me as a Christmas gift?

          @Scab: LOL..

Keep going, I'm sure you'll find a combination where they pay you to take it away. Would ebay payback work in here as well?

        • @try2bhelpful: Yea i will be looking forward for that day :P.
But if you look the above comment you can see it's almost like you mentioned at the end of the day you will be getting 2.50$ for buying

      • My $99 Kogan one does a pretty stellar job

  • Has cooking gone digital?

    • In this case, Digital means it has an LCD screen which shows time, temperature and mode (altho from what I've experienced so far, the mode is just preset temperatures for cooking different foods eg. fish, frozen snacks etc.)

  • Is this the model where you can remove the mesh when washing?

    • +2

Got one last week per the other Harvey Norman post on this Yes the mesh can be removed. It clicks in and out, two metal bendy tabs securing it.

  • I missed the old analogue cooking days

  • Is the wattage between this model and the viva series (0.8kg) huge different?

    • Info is on the Philips website but I looked it up, the 0.8kg one is 1425w vs the XXL (1.4kg) one which is 2225w. I like how much the XXL can cook at once!

  • Damn it’s expired now :(
