    Anyone know if this actually heats up the water enough to enjoy a hot coffee instead of warm?

      I have taste test this machine at Nespresso store and it does heat up much hotter compared to original machines.

        @TakaHas… really? The reviews I have read have universally said its not as hot. They clearly only updated the system as the patent ran out on the original pod system.

      Nope. I have one on a trial program and it's warm. Add milk and it's noticeably cool.

      Everyone who has tried the pods (through my trial machine) has said that the coffee tastes like the beans have been burnt. I loved the idea of it but it's disappointing.

        I am also disappointed by it. The old pod machine taste better.

        BTW it didn't prepare the milk for you I think you have to heat it up yourself.

    Ppl have commented online the vertuo version coffee is not hot enough and sometime has burnt taste. These problem have been resolved with this new vertuo plus version.

    I tried this at the nepresso store but they were using the old version. The coffee is smooth but nothing special. Have to try the plus version to see whether is worth upgrading.
