Has anyone succeeded in getting the printing off the outside?

    • Why do you want to? lol

    • If they’re still the same as the old ones, I easily scraped the lettering off with a regular pair of office scissors

    • +2

Yup. I was on the phone for too long. Before I knew it I had scrapped the entire label off.

      • +3

Must have been a riveting conversation

        • +1

Indeed. Had to call my provider for disconnection of service.

    • Yeah used a knife and just scraped away.
Comes off fairly easily but makes a tad of a mess

But then how will people know you overpaid for water at some point??

      • +10

I make a point of telling them.

Please promote RockyRaccoon to Gold Status on Ozbargain.

  • They're selling soda like some magic drink.

    • +5

No they're selling the aesthetic of the bottle.

      • You mean bcos they can't sell a empty bottle they filled it with soda & selling it ?

        • +1

          that sounds about right…

        • +3

Noone's going to pay for an empty bottle..

Besides, they're only doing what the liquor industry has been doing for years.

        • @outlander: I would. I've been waiting for the decor glass bottles that are virtually the same to go on sale. Normally $9.99, so I was going to buy at $7.50 with a price hipster alert. These are just as good, half my but price and I don't have to fill my first bottle.

its actually a cheap way to get a glass bottle, though have been 50% off in the past … practical bottle with a wide opening to make drinking easier.

I'm not a fan of plastic drink bottles, just have glass or stainless steel if traveling.

Also easy to see how much water is left.

        • Yeah, I was gonna buy a metal drink bottle for sitting on my bedside table, and this was a quarter the price, so why the hell not.

  • Almost $5L - what a effing rort! whoever owns VOSS is a genius. Design a nice looking bottle (which becomes a must have item) and rip people off for water

  • very heavy to carry

      Try lifting bro.

  • None in my local Woolies

  • Finally! I need a new drink bottle!

  • It is actually a good re-useable glass bottle. Lid is still plastic but should last a good couple of years at least. And the sparkling artesian water is to die for!

  • My wife says the top of this bottle tends to leak so can't be trusted lying down.

    • My wife says they are fine, just make sure the cap is screwed on tight.

      • My wife says she is not my wife

  • What do you do with the bottle ?

    • +3

      It makes a good weapon.

As portable drink bottles, I'd have to stay with plastic. I would have thought that being glass, its heavy and fragile. Am I missing the point? Is it only the aesthetics that makes them popular?

    • BPA free

      • OK, you sold me on free. I'll look into it. Hmmm… lid looks plastic :P

  • I use a used Justin Timberlake Tequila bottle for cool water in my fridge. It has a rubber grommet cap which works well. Dan used to sell it for $38.
