Probably my favourite RPG of all time has been ported to mobile for a while. Apparently it was done pretty well.

I checked the price last week and it was $13.99,thought I'd check today and it was down to $6.99 so you can use those credits.

It was on my wish list, what's even the point if I didn't get notified it was on sale.

Anyway,

I've never played this game before but considering buying to have on my phone as well as my tablet for travelling (when my Switch is charging). Is it worth it overall?

    • +1

Absolutely, I agree with OP that it is one of my favourite games of all time. I only played it for the first time about two years ago, so it was about 13 years old at this point, but I still found it more entertaining than new 'AAA' games. Obviously being so old the graphics aren't amazing, and the combat system is kind of turned based and point and click, however I feel that both of these aspects would translate to the mobile game well. The story and character development are excellent, something that most games lack. I am actually replaying through it at the moment!

EDIT: Also just like to point out that it is discounted 66% on Steam at the moment to $3.39 USD (~$4.42 AUD), along with the second game in the series. The second game was rushed through development unfortunately, so it isn't considered to be as good as the first. However it still scored high in reviews and you would probably still enjoy it if you liked the first.

I've played it on computer, the combat system can be a little funny and the first planet can take a fair while, but once you get past these it has one of the best story lines of all the games I've played. It also has an average of 29 hours of main story gameplay so it's pretty worth in terms of time of play value.

      • So you guys would definitely recommend this game for long hours, offline play? I assume I can create a loyal jedi, customize my lightsaber and bring an end to the republic?

        • Yes if you can get over bad graphics and immerse your self in the story.
Good skill trees and stuff like that, class variety.
I have a fair but if nostalgia though

        • @science-teacher: I mean bad graphics don't really faze me too much, especially if the game is fun as heck. Currently sinking many hours into Star Wars Force Area. That is addictive.

        • @ThePriceMatchGuy: Yep definitely recommend. Not sure if I agree about bringing an end to the republic tho…

        • @ThePriceMatchGuy: fantastic lore too
          The old Republic is fascinating

  • USed to be free on Amazon Apps for a long time.

  • It is also really cheap on one of the bundle sites for PC. Maybe GOG or Fanatical. I'll check and link, brb…

    Edit: Fanatical! U$2.49 https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/star-wars-knights-of-the-o…

2nd edit: GOG is U$3.33 FWIW.

  • This sale's been on for awhile now. At one stage, this was even on sale for .99c.

It is a great game and played it on the PC.

    • As I said
I checked it last week and it was full price
      Good game
