Please Advise on How to Best Use Flybuys Points?

I have got 25,000 flybuys points via my insurance provider and I would like to know the best way to use/redeem these flybuys points.

Thanks, Sophia.

2000 = $10 when you shop at Coles.

      Convert to Flybuy Dollars

FB$ may be used in store at Coles Supermarkets, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Coles Express, Kmart, Target, and Kmart Tyre & Auto Service only. flybuys points can be converted to FB$ in multiples of 2,000 points only. 2,000 points equates to FB$10. FB$ cannot be used for online purchases.

Edit: my bad didn’t mean to reply to your comment.

I always transfer them to virgin miles. They often have 30% sales and they give you status credits too

Status credits are earned when you actually buy stuff from Coles/Kmart. Not for point transfer.
They recently had a 15% promo, that was good value.

    • Good pick up

    • It is Ozbargain's suggestion :)

Spend at Coles … that's the equivalent of $125.

  • Thanks guys for the responses! But is there anything else worthy than Coles redemption or Velocity points conversion??

Shop at Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Coles Express, Kmart, Target, and Kmart Tyre & Auto Service?

Don't know where you are but around Sydney you could redeem Flybuy dollars to recharge Opal at a handful of Coles. Other things you can do are buy mobile recharges or gift cards at Coles.

Over the years I've found the $10 redemption at Coles for catalogue specials/shopping is the most practical.

Don't bother with the Flybuys catalogue, overpriced in terms of points (almost everything is listed at RRP), and you'd score 30-50% off at a normal retailer paying cash when a sale is on.

Other gift card redemptions are BCF and JB Hi-Fi, which I believe offer the same $ value as Coles group vouchers.

I think this, as well as the above, pretty much cover what anyone would consider value.

As 88mph mentioned, the actual goods that you can redeem are terrible value.

I just wait till I have a lot of points and then redeem it for 4 or more Coles gift cards. I shop mostly at Woolies or Aldi till I get my next "Spend $50 for 4 weeks at Coles to get 10,000 bonus points worth $50" targeted offer. Then I shop for $50-51 for 4 weeks and pay using those gift cards and then redeem the bonus points for another $50 Gift card.. May not be much of a difference in the long run but I like the feeling of not having to spend anything for my grocery shop for the month and get another gift card in return :)

Oh and the reason I go for the Coles gift cards instead of Flybuys dollars is so that I can use them for the target spend on any flybuys account (mine or my wife's), based on which one of us get the better offer (Sometimes my target offer is to shop for $50 while my wife's flybuys offer would be to shop for $70)
