    • very goooooood

buy this and Aldi baby back ribs, you're ready to rock n roll for xmas parties

      • +3

Just a shame they bumped up their prices on the ribs from 11.99 to 14.99 per kg.

        • +2

My thoughts exactly, may as well go to the local butcher now at that price.

        • +1

          @ruddiger7: Yeap completely agree

        • +1

@ruddiger7: Baby back ribs usually go for around $18 per kg at the butcher so still a decent price. Not sure on the quality though.

        • +2

          @GunnerMcDagget:

Preston Market in VIC - a Vietnamese butcher there sells for 15.99/kg, and the meat/bone ratio is much higher than supermarket ribs

  • i only used the buffalo one. Man how fing artificial this crap is, cancer in a bottle.

    • +1

I still have the buffalo one from last time to go through. Good though. Just a massive bottle.

It has high fructose corn syrup.

      USA junk

      • +1

Thanks for the headsup. Pretty sure HFCS is all GMO'd to.

        • +3

          cheepwun will confirm

        • +2

@tomsco: LOL It's sad that I follow OzB so much that I know what you're talking about.

        • +1

          More GMO dumbarsery…

        • +1

@Mic Cullen: Thanks for the input but I'll have to take the advice of scientists and scientific data into account too…if that's OK?

      • Lol let’s hate it together just cause it’s from the USA. Herpdy derpiddy derp.

        • +2

No actually high fructose corn syrup isn't very good for you but more importantly tastes bad compared to sugar.

The sugar in Australia is considered a premium product compared to it.

    • +1

The Buffalo one isn't great, neither is their teriyaki one. Haven't tried the steakhouse sauce. The BBQ sauce is great (two types), but massive amounts of sugar.

    • As opposed to the regular "all natural" sauce you buy?

    • +2

      cancer in a bottle

      hmm dont see it.

Its mostly vinegar and chili, and pretty delicious to me.

Anyone else find it weird how there's strange quantities on some items?

    • This sauce's 474mL

    • Red Bull's 473mL

It's really random, I can't think of others off the top of my head but I know there's plenty more.

I wonder what the thinking behind this is….

    • +5

It's because 473/474ml is 12 US fluid ounces.

      • +3

        That damn imperial measurement system!

        • +6

          cue Darth Vader theme music

      • +2

        You mean 16, not 12

        • You're right, 16. 12 is the other weird measurement of 355ml.

    • I reckon this is simply a rounding issue from overseas suppliers who are using 'imperial' measurements -> ml?

  • +1

    This sauce is excellent!

I got the buffalo sauce from Costco only coz the macros on it are phenomenal. Not to sure how to use it, whenever I marinate stuff with it and cook it, the sauce sticks to the pan.

    • +2

      Contains hydrogenated soybean oil

      mmmmm

Honestly just get some franks red hot sauce or similar and put your own butter in there, not their pretend artifical butter.

      The ingredients are terrible.

    • +1

Cooking on baking paper is the best way to avoid this burnt issue. Works really well on BBQ and frying pan. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed

    • Best way is to marinade chicken wings in paprika, salt, pepper and garlic then cook them in the oven or on the BBQ. When they're ready, toss them in the buffalo sauce then serve them straight away. Preferably with some celery sticks and a blue cheese dip.

    • the sauce sticks to the pan

Thats your problem there. Use the grill, oven or barbeque.

I saw these super cheap in Woolies the other day and the number one ingredient by volume is high fructose corn syrup. Yeah nah.

  • IIRC they are 47% sugar(HFCS to be exact). So sweet, unless you are American

  • I agree. Way too sugary and a sticky mess. I will need an exorcist for my foukou.
