Garmin Rino 750 Handheld GPS + UHF CB Local Stock $583 @ Ryda eBay

60
POWERUP

This is a bit of a niche product but if you're after one of these, it's a good price!

This handheld GPS has an 80 channel UHF CB radio built-in. It's local stock so has the right Australian frequencies programmed in.

It can send your location to other Rino users automatically when you key up, or other users can poll your location. You can also send basic text messages over UHF CB frequencies. It is backwards compatible with older models like the Rino 650.

Compared to the Rino 650, this has:

  • a MUCH better screen - higher res, slightly larger, capacitive touch, and much easier to see under sunlight.

  • MiniUSB charging, you won't need that proprietary charger any more

  • Dedicated volume buttons

  • Bluetooth support for headsets, also shows notifications from your phone if paired

Are the above the only significant diff between this and 650?

    • +1

Apart from the better screen, it finally uses USB charging… although inexplicably they still stick with mini USB. Not even micro. It is a capacitive-touch screen so you don't have that plastic layer over it.

It's also a lot more responsive when scrolling, and just general use. It must have a faster processor.

There are also dedicated volume buttons on the right side.

It has Bluetooth support now, you can apparently pair a Bluetooth headset to use as the radio headset. I haven't tried it yet.

  • I bought the GPSMAP 64 from these guys just a couple of days ago for $269.48 with click and collect. Received the item the day after I ordered (Sydney).
