    Thanks mate.

If you like Splendor, I would recommend Century: Spice Road

    • I haven’t tried that one, I’ll check it out. Have you played the Cities of Splendor expansion?

      • +1

Played each of the four expansions a couple of times. I enjoyed Orient and Trading Posts, Stronghold and Cities was bit meh for me. With that said, the expansion definitely adds to the base game. I would probably buy a copy if the price is right.

PS: Haven't tried personally, but have heard of people mixing expansions + house rules to some success.

Pandemic Legacy Season 2 is a good by @ $96 for those in the market.

what are some of the best 2 player games people can recommend I've heard 7 wonders duel is good but I'm not too sure of others.

    • +2

Yes that one is great. Also I like Jaipur or patchwork. Maybe pandemic legacy season one as two player?

      • I also recommend Jaipur and patchwork as great 2 player games

    • Splendor and Pandemic are both good for 2 people. I do prefer Splendor with 3-4 people though.

Lost Cities is a great little 2-player game

    • +2

My partner and I only buy board games that work well with 2 players (and it is a plus if they expand). Carcassonne, Pandemic, 7 Wonders Dual and Takenoko are great games to get you started. We now have a whole kallax from IKEA full of games (that continues to grow). If you get Carcassonne the big box is great value. :-) Not all of these games will be available on Zing though :-)

Yeah that's fine I was just looking for recommendations in general.

Thanks alot guys keep em coming

    • Not stocked here but Hanamikoji and Mr Jack

    • We quite enjoy Raptor and Fugitive as two player only games. The others mentioned by Madkins are quite fun and can play more.

    • I got Caverna from Zing / EB a while ago. It’s a fun game. It’s complicated, and has so many pieces.

  • Magic maze is a great coop game
    I also like
    Machi koro

These are actually some pretty good prices. (I use www.boardgamesearch.com.au to compare), although the shipping kinda wrecks the savings.

  • Fallout the Board Game - anyone know anywhere with stock?

    • +1

Fallout is available from Mighty Ape (online) for 87.98 including shipping if you order via their Ebay Store using the code POWERUP.

      • Thanks heaps!

  • Pretty decent selection.

  • Garden city mtg store had practically no board gamesleft other than puzzles. Not sure if they had removed them from sale before today.

  • Is the pickup option broken for people?

  • +4

$27 for Machi Koro is a steal.

    Normally goes for $40+

    • It had been seen cheaper via BookDepository: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Machi%20koro?t=b
Still a very reasonable deal if you can pickup.

      • +1

Always sold out on book depository now though. Not sure if theyll ever be back in stock??

Curious though where the machi koro bright lights, big city fits into the base game. Is it a standalone game?

        • Should be standalone. Check boardgamegeek for info.

  • Bought splendor off ebay ages ago. Curious why you recommended it as i bought it last time too. Is it a very popular game?

Looking for a game which is party friendly strategy or resource building. For example some games are very detailed and abit too serious for lower attention span party guests. Wherwas some like powergrid. Ticket to ride etc. Are indepth but still cheery enough for party scenes.

  • First ive heard of zingpopculture. Just curuous how the board games etc link to eb games? The op seems to suggest they're the same company are they?

    • yes u can even use (discounted) eb giftcards :)

    • +1

They're en major shopping centres. EB saw value in splitting their stock line and seems to be doing well.

Codewords is a great party game though I'd recommend at least 4 players

  • Managed to get 1830 from North Lakes for $20ish. Down from 108 to 27, then 25% off. Now to get the group together for 3 to 6 hours…

    • how is it $108 to $27?? It's $108 less 25% off

      https://www.zingpopculture.com.au/card---board-games-211023-…

was it cleared down to $27 before the sale?? if so that's insane.

      • Yeah, was marked down to 27 before the sale, then the person behind the counter marked it 25% off 27

      • Turns out they discount the boxing day prices with an additional 25% off.

I bought the fallout chess collection for $51. From $108 to $68 to $51. Wish I knew that earlier. Would have bought more board games.

        • hmm so you mean if the boxing day price is ticketed $xxx - you get a further 25% off? Seems to make sense?

is the sale still going till this sunday?

        • @SaberX: I really don't know if it's intentional or not but I was able to get it where both EB and zing was one store.

Edit: sale for 25% off ends on Sunday
