  Interesting - I have a 50mm DX prime which is pretty much the same angle as the 85mm for FX which is the same as your own eyes :)
  However, I see very little point buying a 35mm prime… any comments?

    depends what you want from the lens - a 35mm dx has full frame equivalent of 50mm which is all round useful, but a 50mm dx has FF equivalent of 75mm which might be a bit tight depending on what you're shooting
