Hi, first post, thought it's time to give back to the community.
Babies R Us has this for $437.99.
Baby Train in Melbourne has this for $429.
Wife and I then went to Babies R Us and got it price match and price beat by 10% bringing it to a new total of $386.10

went to do the same today morning. But realised Babytrain were giving the baby mirror too for the $429 . Babies r us couldnt do that . But if you dint need the mirror, then this is the best price I could find.

Read somewhere MIllenia is out of production now and in the recent babies r us sale(a month or so back) it was sold for $350

Just to add, babies r us does 6 months layby, baby bunting 3 months and babytrain 6 weeks

Holy shite, I never knew that baby seats could get that expensive, the ones at target do the job just fine.

    • +4

the ones at target don't offer side protection, as your baby gets older you have to keep pulling the harness out and refit into next slot higher and so forth, the material is not breathable so your baby will sweat, material will disintegrate over time, most are not iso fix.
The Millenia has height adjustable headrest, side air impact protection, one hand harness adjuster, breathable bamboo fabric, double manufacturers warranty if you register product online.
At what price do you put your child's safety?

Which ones? One thing I wouldn't scrimp on is a child car seat. Lots of factors to take into careful consideration such as crash test results, child weight and height, anchoring/tethering system and extended rear facing ability.

Our child seat restraint laws are pathetic and it is inappropriate to forward face a child at 6 months disregarding child weight/height. A good car seat allowing extended rear facing and the ability to turn forward facing afterwards can work out well in the long run.

For upcoming parents I recommend go beyond the basic research, some sites of interest:

  • is this britax better than maxi cosi euro nxt if both have the same price?

    • Maxi cosi moda is a great option too. Read the comparison reviews Britax vs Maxi Cosi here:

      http://www.bubsngrubs.com.au/maxi-cosi-vs-britax-safe-n-soun…

      • yeah, i've read that one before, which confuses me.
so according to that post, maxi cosi is better than britax, however if you look into the safety rating on www.childcarseats.com.au, maxi cosi safety rating is not better than britax's..
for example maxi cosi euro nxt protection is 3* on both directions, vs millenia 4* forward facing, 3* rear facing
note that maxi cosi euro nxt usually is more expensive than millenia

  • If you are going to 'babies r us' you can buy some 'toys r us' gift cards from woolies using discount wish gift cards and get another 5%ish off.

    • Can u use wish cards to buy other gift cards?

      • Of course you can.

Great price, very happy with this stay paid 430ish

  • Been looking for second seat for my car for the past month. This is a very good deal for a great car seat.
My OCD personality ended up buying the Maxi Cosi Euro Nxt for $345 with the eBay 10% sale as I have the Maxi Cosi Euro already in my car.

  • This shop is in Melbourne, will they consider the shipping cost, which going to make it more expensive than getting it from babies r us?

    • confirmed, only works if you go to babies r us on the same state (VIC)
2nd best place would be to get it from ebay using 10% code while it last

Nice one OP! I was already aware of the Baby Train price, but didn't realise Babies 'R Us do the 10% price match.

    Such a great deal!
