I would go the 7000 as it has its own display - unless you are comfortable using your phone every time as the brushing guide with the 8000.
Spend extra and get a sonicare. They are the business
What's better about them? They seem significantly more expensive.
I’ve had a high end oral b for ages and they are great but I jumped on a sonicare at a recent sale from a Chinese website I saw on ozbargain. I just feel that the rotational action of the oral is good, but the vibration of the Philips is super quick and I feel gives a better clean. This is all subjective of course. Post sonicare my teeth feel like they do post oral hygienest.
