Thank You OzBargain

Hey there Ozbargain Community.

As 2017 comes to a close, I would like to say thank you to all of you for the deals, the laughs and the comments. Oh my God, especially the comments. I don't want to over inflate egos but the Ozbargain community is one of the most comically attuned and is by far home to best 'spot-on' commentary I have encountered on the Internet.

On a personal note, I have been following this site since circa 2012 and it really has made my life better in a few ways.

  • For one, I am a better shopper. You know how we always complain how OzB makes us spend money on things we don't need? I like to think of that phenomenon as more of the honeymoon moment, wherein every deal seems too good to pass up. Let it mature for a few years though, and suddenly you look back and realise you've become such a savvy shopper. You start to have targets, you know, like " I am not paying more than $35/TB of hard drive space". And by God, you do not deviate from that.

  • I have become more patient. Although this goes hand in hand with the first point, it also applies to my character as a whole. I mean, guys, I have waited, months for some deals. Like, many months. And then, when I finally get the item. There's a sort of joy and satisfaction. But what's most different is this sense of respect for the item. Because I didn't give in. I made myself wait. I stuck to a plan, hell, almost a principle (do not spend $1.00 when you could spend $0.99 - OzB Creed). And because of all this, I treat the items in my possession with far more care. So for that, thank you.

  • I have expanded my horizon. Hey there, I'm a photographer - thank you OzBargain. Hey there, I have good quality headphones and audio gear - Grazie OzBargain. Hey there, I listen to audiobooks - merci OzBargain. Hey there, I use Eneloops - Gracias OzBargain. Hey there, I got deals on Sennheisers, PS4, Dell Monitors, Harman Kardons, Citizen Watches, Sportswear (Slazenger anyone?), Books, Pens, Bicycles, PS+ Subscriptions, Phones, Tablets, Hard Drives, etc… - Mahalo OzBargain.

Lastly and perhaps most importantly, OzBargain has helped me help my friends save money and buy higher quality items. So for the education, the comedy, the company, and the general buzz of awesomeness, thank you kindly for being by far, the best community on the Internet.

Sincerely.

P.S. Every comment section needs something to fight about (it's who we are), so without further ado.

PS4 (and I mean the standard) > Xbox One X
Surface Book 2 > Apple MacBook Pro (and I mean the latest)
Windows 10 < MacOS (if you don't know how computers work)
Galaxy S8 = iPhone X (if you have more money than sense)
Eneloop = Ikea Ladda (no, really. They're just as good)

My friends tell me I'm a better person to be around and it helps me pick up chicks

    • +4

So you progressed to ripping plastic bags on purpose and returning them for a refund? What were you before?

The chick's must really dig your "cost saving" methods.
