Where Can I Rent Star Wars: Force Awakens in Australia?

As per subject line. I have checked Netflix, google play, Microsoft store and Amazon.

This is the point that most people would turn to the darkside and become pirates.

If the internet fails you, try one of those disc rental machines you see at shopping centres.

    • After doinng a bit if research, it is part of a deliberate strategy to get people to buy the force awakens. They know people will want to watch it before Last Jedi so they make it unavailable from playforms for a few months.

Try the hoyts kiosks and you might find a copy: https://kiosk.hoyts.com.au/movie-details/star-wars-the-force…

Hey, answering the question shouldn’t get negs!

At that price you may as well buy the blu-ray

Would rather have it on iTunes than on bluray.

SPOILER: Darth Vader is Luke's Dad.

  • Yeah I don't want to pay $18 to buy but something under $10 for rental.

What is Digital hd: digital copy plus? If I buy a new Blu ray keep the flyer and sell the Blu ray I could have it that cheap. Lots of hassle though.

How much to post a Blu ray?

    • What is Digital hd: digital copy plus?

Some Blu-Ray discs come with a digital code that can be redeemed on video streaming services such as YouTube and Flixster. I did this for Force Awakens and can watch it on demand on YouTube.

Another major service/supplier of these codes is Ultraviolet. As far as I know you're not meant to sell/buy the codes, but there are online stores that sell just the codes with a quick Google search. Won't link anything directly in case it's not allowed here…

But you may still be able to source from some Video Ezy kiosks. Or just buy it from a shop.

    1. Sign up for a good quality VPN that has servers in Canada, UK, Spain or Germany and isn't blocked by Netflix. I recommend Express VPN.
    2. Turn on VPN and stream it on Netflix.
    3. Win.
  • Nowhere legit right now

    • As I pointed out above, you can rent it via quickflix as a disk. Not necessarily a great path, but it is available and you you could probably even find a free trial.

      So yep, legit is possible.

Mind, the way the movie companies make it difficult to rent (particularly at a reasonable cost) does tend to give the lie to all their anti-piracy propaganda.

  • I heard their lightsabers are powered by Eneloops. Is this true?

Try your local council library. It's completely free!!
Our library has had force awakens for a few months now.

Have they made one called “ Force Awakens in Australia “ ? 🤔 😂

  • Just watch episode 4 again if you don't want to feel disappointed.
It's basically the same storyline but done a lot worse than the original.

    • Just watch episode 4 again

Wouldn't that make you a watch nerd?
