Well here is a nice surprise. With Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and whatever other combinations of buzz words/days of the week you can concoct now come and gone, developer Halfbrick Studios still has a monster deal up their sleeve for thrifty shoppers. The iPad native version of their multi-million selling Fruit Ninja franchise has just dropped down to 99¢ for an extremely limited time. 24 hours limited, to be exact.

Good price for an entertaining game but I find it increasingly annoying that if you bought the iPhone version you have to fork out a second time for an iPad version. They should discount the second purchase - or something.

    • What is even more annoying is when you play NFS SHift on the Iphone for 20 hours and buy the iPad version. Still expensive but even worse you can't take the data. SO I have to start again.

The worst situation is Gameloft's GT Academy, have played 30 hours on it. Buy a bigger screen and then have to do it a second time, boring.

      • I hear you, I'd nearly finished Plants vs Zombies and lost it all when Apple had to replace my iPhone. I just haven't the motivation to do it all over again. Sniff I'll never know what those last plants and zombies were. :(

Simple solution, jailbreak and back up your game data. I've transferred angry birds, plants vs zombies, etc savegames between my ipod touch and ipad whenever i need to restore. I also transferred savegames between normal and hd.

  • Heh, that's annoying, I'd just bought it at the 40% off Black Friday sale after holding back for so long… now it's even cheaper! Good deal for everyone else though.
