I'm looking for a new dashcam and would love some recommendations. I've had a look on Google but a lot of the recommended lists online don't include the Chinese brands which I think is where you might find the best value for money.

Model G1W of various variations has good reviews for a budget dash cam - just google for different prices and suppliers - just be careful of 'clones' so purchase from a reliable supplier.
YouTube videos will give you an insight as to how good, or otherwise, the cams are.
I had a G1W and upgraded to the latest Street guardian last year. The SG9665GC V3 is exceptional but three times the price.
I've had a G1W and an A118. Much prefer the A118 as the G1W hangs below the rear view mirror. The A118/119 is barely visible when driving as it sits behind the mirror. My two A118s have lasted much longer than the G1W did. Video from both was similar.
Would recommend the A119 or A119S if your budget allows for it. Night time performance is poor on the A118C.
Check YouTube for sample footage.Personally, I’m running the Street Guardian SG9663DC. Street Guardian’s after sales support is second to none, post a question or issue on Dashcamtalk forum and more likely than not you’ll have a response quicker than you can say the product code name haha.
Have to agree, just got a A119s and the night vision is so much better than the A118c
I'd also have to reccomended the A119S V2. decent price and very good quality. I previously had Kapture KPT50 $199 unit that I got for $99 from JbHiFi which I assume was a price error, and it's got nothing on the Viofo A119S V2, in terms of video quality of features.
