  • Love me some free burgers.

  • need to add mobile is a nuisance (get daily sms from dominos already), but the Dundee deal was good….

  • +3

Bogof offer expires very quickly, 4 days.

    • Thanks, have updated post

      • Stupid question: Does this expire on 0:00:00AM 13 January or 11:59:59PM 13 January? I just want to know if I can use this for Saturday Lunch and Dinner :)

        • I would say the free burger offer expires on 23:59 11 Jan instead.
Please refer to my comment below

        • @Taneda1988: Thanks man. I checked their facebook post and indeed they said the offer expires on Thursday. I find it weird though since the emailed voucher shows expiry as 13 January without any mention of any other offer that would expire at that date.

  • +23

Missus Grill'd me for putting on weight over Christmas. That was just a warm up!

    • +3

but then you told her to burger off coz this deal was too good

      • Oh that’s too cheese-y.

  • +2

    Excellent first post, thank you!

  • +4

You can put in random information as QR code is displayed right after registration aka not necessarily by email/SMS.

  • Thanks. Dinner sorted.

  • Promotional Period:
Start date: 09/01/18 at 12:01 am AEST
End date: 28/01/18 at 11:59 pm AWST

    • +1

Email with voucher says 13/01 like OP said

    • +2

Not sure why you are being negged. It is most likely this promotion runs until 28/1/2018 while the generated QR codes are only valid 5 days generation.

      • +2

I guess it's the keyboard warriors and people who like to neg everyone

    • +2

I got the original email. They are running various promotions (one per day) from the 9/1 to the 28/1.
Today's one is the BOGOF burger voucher, which itself has an expiry on 11/1/18.
      Hope this clarifies things.

  • Sweet! I know what we are having for lunch today

    • +1

And tomorrow and the next day and the next day!!!!

  • +2

Just show a screenshot of the QR code when ordering i guess?

    • This is crucial information…but I guess OP and no-one else have claimed them yet

If I try scan the QR with a phone app it recognizes it as 'text' and comes up with letters and numbers and some punctuation, so presumably a unique code and the store itself is meant to scan the QR

      • Yes they scan the QR off your phone or wherever you can display it

    • -1

      Phone is fine..

  • +3

    0444444444 "has already been used"

damn you random ozbargain mobile generators….

    • -1

First thing I tried was "0411111111"… "already been used", so I thought "0411111112" … "already been used." Skipped straight to 5 and thank God someone else had given up by then.

    • +2

      0412345678 was taken too.
Glad I don't have a real number like this.

  • Is the qr code gernic?

    • +2

      no

    • +9

      No, it's not.

      It's not generic either.

  • And aren't we allowed to eat 1 and take 1 away for the love ones?
    I am sharing the #summerlove

    • +3

Order 2 and byo food container. Eat one put the other in your food container - Pretty sure they cant stop you from taking it out that way.

  • -4

and they will reject the redemption and said small business like them can't afford the deal to be popular?

    • Sorry did you say you were rejected using the voucher? Or you're assuming that you'll be rejected?

      • +3

The ozbargainer is probably just overlooking the deal.

      • +1

happened before…i guess it was 7 yrs ago.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/22523
        http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1214001&p…

They just refused. It was in the news also.

        • +2

Guess a lot has changed in 7 years, just tested and worked. Fear not my friend.

        • +1

Grill'd gave out free burgers every day for a month to anyone who raised more than $50 for Movember. Totally free every day for an entire month. Catch was 2.30 to 3 pm and after 9 pm. I got down there at 2.30 every day and there were cheesy mustaches lined up out the door. I would have easily eaten $200 of burgers. I did end up raising a grand though.

        • +1

@MikeKulls: I loved those days, lunch and dinner served to my moustached face every day!
I remember a lady blew up in the shop because they didn’t accept “mo sisters” part of the fine print was you had to have the Moustache! She called the store manager and staff sexist and vowed never to eat there again.
          Teaches her for waxing really!

        • +1

@ozy: damn, I didn't realise you could do it twice a day! Then again I could only eat so many burgers.

For the women, what are they meant to do, need proof to get a free burger.

  • +13

Wife B'day on Friday - dinner sorted in true ozbargain fashion. Cheers.

    • +11

      You hopeless romantic you!

      • +1

haha…. yea, might even go for as sunset walk along the beach….. it's the little things we do. Grilled has actually just opened it's Noosa store a few days before xmas, so this will be our first time there. Now I need to find a ben & jerry voucher and dessert is done as well!

    • +1

So .. Making her pay for hers and scoring a free one?

    • +12

cheapest one is $10. So you can have 2 burgers for $10.

  • +3

    Dine In only.

    • I got it take away

      • Can anyone else confirm the deal applies to takeaway as well?

        • I used the voucher fine with take away this evening.

  • +2

If you look at the T&C carefully, it actually says
    https://www.grilld.com.au/legal-information/terms-conditions…
"Limit of one (1) free burger/salad offer redemption/QR scan for this offer is permitted per person on 09/01/18 to 11/01/18."
    and
"Limit one (1) free drink/QR scan for this offer permitted per person on 12/01/18- 14/01/18, 18/01/18-21/01/18 and 26/01/18-28/01/18."

In the email I received after registration, it says
"Buy a burger & get one FREE!" & "Offer expires on 13/01/2018"
The email doesn't say "get one free burger" or "2 for 1" in specific
So I guess you will only get a free burger by 11/Jan, then a free drink only on 12 and 13/Jan

    • Indeed

Day 1 09/01/18 Buy any Burger or Salad from any Grill’d Store on 13/12/17 within Australia and get one (1) free with presentation of QR code

Is it just me or are the T&C a written mess

      • ya, but 13/12/17 was a month ago lol
so I would refer to T&C with a correct date instead

        • This is from the T&C. :s

          @Olokun:

  • It's giving me an error

    • But my first email and QR code definitely say 13th for BOGOF?

  • +1

    Signed up, but no email

  • +1

Why do the voucher say they expire on the 13th then

  • Confirmed working at Grill'd Casey Central VIC. The server knew exactly what I was talking about, scanned the QR code and paid the $10 for my 2 Simply Grill'd burgers with AmEx. Sweet sweet goodness.

  • It runs out of code now!

  • If anyone has extra QR codes can anyone share one please? I haven't received any codes. Thank you

    • If you're still keen let me know, both my wife and I got one but will only need the one. I can PM you a screenshot of the code.

      • That will be awesome thanks. I never received the code or email after numerous attempts. Thanks heaps

        • No probs, I never got any email either, so lucky I took the screenshot just in case. I'll send it to you now.

  • +1

    Thanks for the voucher.
Was going to hit up Maccas for the McChicken BOGOF.

  • I haven’t received the codes yet??? Any help?

    • Did mine again because it didn't work in Safari… Worked in Firefox though.

      • Figured it out.. the QR code is available after entering your details.
        TAKE A SCREENSHOT!

        • The QR code gets sent to your email as well

        • I never received any emails!! Odd

  • Same never got anything especially after completed the form

    • A QR code will appear on the page after you submit the form.
      Screenshot that and you're set

    • Try the link I posted above

  • +1

Did anyone get a spam email shortly after this from a Feedburner Email Sub?

  • +2

    My email has 13/1 expiry.

    • +1

Same here. I am going to risk using it on Sat and see what happens.

      • +1

It's pretty black and white so I'd say you'd be fine. The one I just registered an hour ago showed on email 11/1 expiry so could be luck of draw.

    • +1

      Likewise, my email says 13/01

  • +1

Thanks redeemed at Hawthorn VIC. Got 2 Mighty Melbournes for $14. Fantastic burgers!

  • Not working for me, I submit and get a screen with the following

    Bad Request

The CSRF token could not be verified.

    • Its Safari's fault. Works on Chrome.

  • +3

Mine email is saying Offer expires on 13/01/2018, not 11/01/2018.

    • Mine also expires 13/01

  • Gotta hit up Eastland on Thursday anyway, so I'll finally try these guys out.

Wanted to try them a few weeks back at the midnight screening of Star Wars, but me and my friend sat there for about 20 minutes before she just got up and left. Pathetic service, but I'll take a freebie.

    • Were you waiting for them to come and take your order? All of the Grill'ds I've been to you have to order first at the counter then sit down.

      • -3

Yeah, but it wasn't due to ignorance or anything. We walked in, they gave us a table and some menus, then said they'd be back in a few to take our order.

There was like 6 other people in there at the time, dudes.

  • Dine in only

    • think dine in is to stop people trying to use uber / deliveroo, or you get 20 burgers for the party at your house and somebody rocks up with 10 printed codes from different email addresses.

i’m sure they would do 2nd one wrapped if you wanted to doggy bag but who wants a reaheated or a cold burger their idea is cooked fresh to order so it’s a great product, not reheated average product.

  • -5

how can this get over 500 votes? u have to buy a burger - it's not free, how much can u save - around $10, only 4 days available, like u save only 50% for a couple of burgers, u have to register, come on…

    • Expensive ass burger suddenly becomes "only slightly overpriced burger", and you just give them a phoney email and print screen the QR code, done.

I'm keen as a bean to try them out to be honest. Any place that wants 16 bucks for a burger is either the worst place in the world, or they make a damn good burger. And I'm looking forward to my burger.
