  That would be awesome. It looks like layover from Syd can be as low as 5 ish hours out and 6 ish hours back. By a quick try.

    Depending on where you are originating from they do vary. For eg Ex Perth outbound its up to 21 hours , inbound about 8 hours. Singapore is a pretty good place for a mini stopover though.

      Mini stopover is fine, getting stuck in the terminal for 13 hours - because KLM didn't want to admit that their plane was never coming - is not fun. In the middle of the night the army does a patrol through and asks for your papers.

        @blaircam: Perhaps it's not every night. They came through and checked we had passports and boarding passes - presumably to make sure all the people sleeping in there were actually waiting for flights.

        $340 is nothing for an infant to do that. There is still the administration of processing them. Staff need wages. I would also imagine infants cause more work than adults, with planes having to have change trays and other products,, parents having to get up regularly to calm them, staff having to assist if necessary. This is just what I've seen. Sit on a lap yeah

        Disagree. Especially considering this is a low cost airline with food and other amenities costing extra. And then, usually you bring your own food for a baby anyway. It's simply ridiculous and not anywhere near the usual costs better carriers charge (e.g. Qantas 10% of adult fare)

        What's wrong with people? This is ozbargain! Firts one tells me $340 for the privilege of having a baby on my lap whilst sitting cramped up in a cheap economy seat without food drinks and entertainment is fair and the next one either can't do maths or thinks $3400 is a regular price for a ticket to Europe.
