Saw these shoes on pricehipster. What could go wrong for 7$ for a pair of shoes from a local seller.
I have no experience about the Dunlop shoes but others are selling these for 20$ per pair.

  • Black 11 sold out

  • Do they have click and collect option?

    • Not from my location at least

  • +1

Both blue and black 7 sold out.
It is $16.90 delivered. The inevitable $9.90 delivery fees…

  • Could NEVER stop wearing my Asic's, but incredible bargain. It's a plus from me!

$9.90 delivery fee. No click n collect

    Kt-26 evolution?

    • +1

I think they get you in young with these and by the time your 50 your hooked and a dedicated 26 person.

  • We're sorry. This item is not currently available to purchase online…

  • +9

    OP has appropriate username

    • ha ha, why is that?

      • +8

You want them to explain dar joke?

  • Good price. And you wonder what makes those brand name running shoes worth $250+

    • +1

      Hipsters know why

      • +1

Everyone has to pay those prices, beards or no beards.

        • +1

But I oil my beard, so I know the value of upselling. Now off to smash my avocados!

        • +1

@dangerdanger: I too like my avocados smashed!

    • There has to be an actual difference for $20 vs $250, right? I know some if not even most would be brand name-related, but someone please tell me there is SOME quality difference.

      • Are the $250 shoes better than the $20 pairs, by a factor of 10x? I don't know…

        • +2

Not by 10x but certainly by 2x to 4x.

          Just for support, etc.
Other than that under the label its all the same

      • Asic's for example don't feel like crap after two weeks, plus if your knees have blown out you kind of need the better shoes

I only pay $145 on average for mine, a pair will last a good 3+ years so VERY well worth it! Target crap… lucky to get three months in my opinion

    • +1

This a decent video that looks at a cheap pair of shoes and what the differences are. The shoe in the video isn’t the same as the one for sale in this post, but it does give a decent idea of what you actually pay for when you get a more expensive shoe.

What could go wrong for 7$ for a pair of shoes from a local seller.

If they are like my old (2 month ago pair which were Dunlop but diff one) I fell on wet tiles and a month later still take painkillers for my back 3-4 days a week… Threw the shoes away, don't recommend them…

    • +3

Ha? That could happen with any shoes, wet tiles are very slippery. Poor reason to neg the deal in my opinion.

      • +2

The shoes were deadly as soon as a small amount of water was on the floor. I fell maybe 10 times in 3 weeks wearing them lol…

Also I neg so others view the warning, it's a major fault imo.

        • +12

Could it be because you are a slippery fish?

        • 'slippery fish' + rain => fell off

          what else can we expect?

        • +1

          [@giovannip](/comment/5517177/redirrofl that's great.

        • +1

My $200+(RRP not what i pay though) running shoes after 6 months of running get turned to casual shoes. After 6 months as casual they get turned to gardening shoes. Abother 6 months they than end up in the bin. I tried after gardening to make them fishing shoes but quickly found they have no wet surface grip and im better sticking to my trusty dunlop volleys.
Running shoes are fine in the wet on road/concrete/grass but not much else.
These shoes are no worse than most running shoes i reckon.

    • Were you running though?

    • Why neg? They're crappy cheap shoes, but they're still a deal for others.

      Maybe remove your neg?

      • +1

Negs are there to point out dodgy products or company's, why not neg. I sure as (profanity) wouldn't buy a Dunlop tyres after their shoes lol

        • +1

Neg is for defective products. The shoe wasn't defective. Lol. Why are your floors wet anyway? Did you neg your legs while you're at it? Neg gravity, cos you wouldn't have fallen if that silly gravity wasn't in the way. ;)

        • @dangerdanger: the question is why aren't yours wet… Anywho I'll revoke just so you people stop badgering me, when you slip and hurt yourself don't cry to me…

        • +1

@Slippery Fish: I'll keep an eye out for a deal on rollerframes for yah

        • @dangerdanger: voltarin 25 ;)

        • +1

@Slippery Fish: You should think about changing your username to Unco Fish.

        • +1

@Slippery Fish: Voltaren? A true OzBargainer would use generic diclofenac tablets for half the price!

        • @blamesociety: I do, couldn't remember the name of them rofl

  • +4

slippery fish was in dangerdanger when he hit a wet tile some blame darshu while others blamesociety! (lol yes I am that bored)

  • dunlop volleys for life yo!

  • one thing that go wrong is they dont fit you. I am an 8.5US so I didn't order.

  • Big W Merrylands, NSW still has plenty of stock from sizes 9 and up. For some reason the green colour was $10 though. Colours left are red/black and black/white.

  • Several blue pairs avail at Redbank Plains store, Qld, for $7. Mostly sizes 9,10,11 yesterday. Brought some myself. I think there was also some red/black ones beside them, but were $10.

  • Just got notified that my online order was cancelled.

    • Opps… I didnt receive any email after that neither. Let me check.
