Why do you say it like there would be some difficulty doing this at Officeworks? A non-sale price at a respected retailer like MSY won't have any questions asked.

    • Thank you for your input.

    • Hopefully Officeworks will update K400+ online price shortly.
Great keyboard for using with Raspberry Pi.

      a respected retailer like MSY

      What?

      • Not necessarily respected that highly amongst PC enthusiasts, but they're a large reputable company as far as the OW price beat guarantee goes ;)

        • Depends on your luck.
Some employees at OW do reject MSY.

      • OW want a published price, shop front not on-line, has to be instock, has to shop in same state, etc, MSY fits the bill.

Else OW staff make you wait while they check things like compare return policy, shipping if it's interstate, is it a grey import, SKU, etc …. they easily waste 20 mins sometimes … MSY, Good Guys, they don't ask questions.

Just curious what people use these for these days? I bought one of these years ago but for years now have found the phone to be much handier for multimedia data entry…

HTPCs, Smart TVs, File Servers or any other PC when you just need a combo keyboard/mouse.

Tried phones and just not good enough in reality.

File Servers I understand but for HTPCs / smart TVs I personally find the phone much more convenient if you just need to find the content and control playback. And if you're doing a fair bit of typing / content creation, there's much better keyboards out there for a bit more…

So everyone else is wrong and you're right? So sending an email from a PC connected to the TV is not a valid use to you, but you will argue you should have a separate mouse and full sized keyboard ignoring the fact that they might be not be sitting anywhere they can use a full sized keyboard and mouse. And so on and so forth.

        • @Maverick-au: Mate, what's up your a$$? I was just trying to understand if I was missing anything having dumped a keyboard from my setup. Where did I say that anyone else was wrong? Or are you unfamiliar with the meaning of "personally"?

        • I honestly want to know what you consider to be a better keyboard option? I have a K830 now, but had a k400 in the past and found them perfectly fine for a htpc setup.

        • @far canal: I didn't say that I'd recommend a better keyboard for HTPC, as I said I use my phone to cast media. For my main PC I do use a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo - don't rememmber the model, as I got the one that was on sale at the time…the equivalent Logitech one would have been fine as well.

      • For android media players, plug in the USB dongle and it just works ……….. usually they come with infra red on the controls not all phones support use of phone as infrared remote. Bluetooth, not all have bluetooh support, but they do have a USB port.

Keyboard making typing things in or creating accounts, password, much easier or searching on Netflix, google or you tube on the TV attached media player.

        • Yep, I've even successfully used it with blu-ray players a few years back.

  • I already have the k400, is this a worthy upgrade? Can it do pinch to zoom etc?
