Just saw this while browsing the store on my Xbox One. Quite a big price drop for this game, cheapest ever I believe.

I have not tried out this game yet so I cannot attest to its quality, have only being playing NBA 2k18 which I've been enjoying. This might be worth picking up though since it's so cheap.

    From what I understand, not as much but at the same time.. less players.

    But mechanically/gameplay wise it's not as polished so you get some weird interactions like Isaiah Thomas blocking 7 footers.

    Try the demo I guess? Was alright when I tried.

    2k18 getting smashed online with poor reviews. P2W has wrecked the whole experience.

    EA has actually 'finally' pulled their finger out and offered a real competitor to the 2K franchise this year.
    It used to be the case that EA was the king of NBA games, and then they let 2K in with their complacency.
    Looks like 2K hasn't learned that lesson, and are allowing EA back into the mix.

    The career mode in 2K is trash. Microtransactions on every single new player you want to build. The greed in prior releases was veiled, but in this release its in your face "I really don't give a crap what you think" obvious.

    As already mentioned, give the demos a go before you buy if you like, but I really do think EA's game is better this year.

  For what it's worth, don't even buy it at this price. It will be in the EA Access vault within a month.

  Also, just curious how the square bracket tags, ie [XB1] came about? Wouldn't just changing it to XBOX One make it easier for searching?

  Can't be worse than the frustration of playing NBA 2K18…. Seriously when just trying to play a regular game the mechanics are bust.. Cause Andre Drummond tries to make 3 shots underneath the basket and can't manage to dunk and can't drop the ball in the hoop.. GRR!

  I really hope NBA Live fix their game soon because we saw this year how having a monopoly can get businesses into greed territory (2k18 is trash).
