You couldnt pay me to fly on Malaysian Airlines.

    • I could

      • You could pay me instead then.

Only need to book a one way ticket.

  • Good luck, keep an ear out for any pilot announcements saying the plane is going to crash!

  • Anyone know as to how these agents actually work to get a better rate than what an average person could get just by booking directly? Do they have a wholesale rate with airlines since they are a travel agency?

I assume that they must make a cut out of the total amount paid too, so the margins must be pretty low for them

    • Pretty much.

    • Used to work for a travel agent, basically you got it. Can get special rates, especially with partner airlines/hotels.

With partners the agent also earns a higher commission than usual too

    • surprise they have not changing the name already

      Plummet Airlines?

  • Despite all the jokes about Malaysia Airlines, I've flown them 12 times since MH17 got shot down in August 2014.

.. but I do understand why everyone is skeptical.. not that I've had bad experiences, but I get it. lol.

Did you fly with your lifejacket on your lap and an oxygen mask in your hand the whole time?

    • Flown with them before all the tragedy. Didn't have good experience then either (although at least I am safe). Felt like a budget airline IMHO

      • I flew with them regularly through old Subang Airport. They wete on par with SIA.Wnen I flew with tham couple years back, realised how poorly they are operating.Airasia was slightly better.Their 20 billion (at that time) sepang airport is so badly designed. No proper facilities for transit passengers.
Very few options for food and shopping.
A flourishing country and it's flag carrier have gone down through corruption, internal fighting and inefficient administration.
