          That said, will it result in further delay? I'm not really pleased that my order which was well within the time and stock limit turns out to be a backorder. I'll send CS another email and see what they can do

    My order still has not been shipped out yet. I ordered on Jan 24! And paid extra for fast shipping and insurance. 10 days later, it still has not been shipped! I ordered this ad a gift for my family and I will leave Australia on 15th! I'm sure they will not be able to get it to me before that date.

    Everyone who received phone, please do NOT update untill you check here (http://en.miui.com/download-340.html). This is OFFICIAL Miui Rom site for Redmi 5 Plus, if your phone comes with the version as same as on that website (either full rom pack or older version), that means you are on official global rom then safe to receive and update from Miui. if your phone's rom version is different as that website, that's mean LITB installed their rom (not official), please do NOT update, otherwise will become brick, you have to manually download official rom pack and flash tool to flash the official ROM.

    Hi guys, just received my phone and confirmed my ROM is not the official one. May I ask if I have to unlock the bootloader before I can flash the official ROM?

    Can I download the right ROM and upload it to my phone, then manually flash it over the LITB ROM instead? Or bootloader has to be unlocked before I can do this?

    Received mine on 2nd Feb, came with official global rom. I gifted it to my father who was here in Australia with me that time. He has returned to his country now with mobile. Auto update today has bricked this mobile now. I have raised ticket at LITB and asked for refund but not expecting them to reply based on few comments above. Looks like I need to lodge paypal claim later on.

        Last week I raised ticket at LITB and first they asked me for photo of the bricked unit issue and after sending photo they said they have contacted supplier and will get back to me on this issue in 2-3 working days, lets see what they say now..

        Can we make Paypal claim to get refund and still keep the bricked phone. Mine is with my father who is living overseas, bit of hassle for him to send bricked unit back..
