Is It Possible to Cancel Order on eBay?

Hi everyone,

My iphone 6 stop working this morning and I just made a purchase on Ebay with my-phonez (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APPLE-IPHONE-64GB-256GB-Gold-Grey…), see lots of positive feedback from Ebay for this seller so made an order immediately with 20% discount price.

But my mistake is did not do my homework on ozbargain, after work I check the status but it does not ship yet, I sent them 2 messages to ask about the status but go no response (little worry). It seems that their phones are gray market (although they claim that Au stock), or take one month to delivery,…

Question:

  • Is there any way to cancel order, the order did not charge my Paypal yet?
  • In case the phone I receive is not Aus version (not Au plug, not 2 years warranty cover), is that possible to claim back, report to Ebay or Paypal?
  • Which store people usually buy? Vaga, Amaysim are also gray market but has better reputation on ozbargain.

Thank everyone, now just need to wait their response, before making order to other stores which are legit. :(

UPDATED:
After one week of waiting and rushing the seller, I got the used iphone (instead of the new one), here are some things I notice:
- The plastic cover is already open with some dust, finger prints.
- The instruction book is bent.
- The headphone is not placed properly, the same with the cable.
- The product is already activated one week ago.
Unacceptable, I am on the process to return.

why don't you wait till they reply? or call them if you can?

Do they state its AU version?
    probably not

    do your homework.

    • On some reviews, some buyers did not have response for weeks, that's not a way to run business.
      On the item listing:
We sell 100% genuine Australian Apple products only.
24 months Apple One year limited Warranty

They said this is genuine Aus product, 24 months warranty, but there are some reviews product from gray market.

I did my homework, I bought from mobilcity before, now they change to allphones, some people have issues with this store, too. So just want to ask other opinion :)

why dont you contact the rep?

        • thanks, did not know this user, probably switch to buy from them. but first wait to hear feedback from my-phonez (maybe weeks)

I don't understand what your iPhone has to do with Allphones?

If the seller accepts the cancellation, just don't sign for the iPhone when it arrives. The post office will send it back to the sender and you wont waste any money sending it back. If the item received does not contain the AU plug, then you can contact eBay and tell them that the item is not as described.

  • Submit a PayPal claim. That should stop the shipping.

    • A claim for what exactly?

      • Not as described.

But to be honest, it doesn't really matter. It will just stop the seller sending it as they wont post if there is an issue with payment. Not ideal, but if what the OP says is true then it may help/.

Listing clearly states 100% genuine Australian Apple product with one week delivery.

You have not even received the phone but are making claims that it is grey market and will take a month to arrive.

    I just don't get it!!

  • I always thought you could only dispute after receipt of goods, not for "change of mind'. Know someone who bought a cheap Apple phone on ebay from China and when they had issues, brought it to Apple Store who said that they could not help as the internals were not original Apple only the external face was to make it look original. Very sneaky! So may be when you get it if it looks like Aussie stock still bring it to check at Apple Store.

    • No need to check at Apple store now, because of some things:

      • The plastic cover is already open with some dust, finger prints.
      • The instruction book is bent.
      • The headphone is not placed properly, the same with the cable.
      • The product is already activated one week ago.
