Nope. They generally don't let you do it.
Can't do it on the self-serve, but was able to get a nice checkout operator to override it and let me purchase the gift card with a gift card as I bought a few other items with it.
@doweyy: you can buy giftcard using coles gc via self serve it just cannot be split payment. Also although the tc's state you cannot some store operators do allow you without a fuss.
@doweyy: bought an eftpos gift card with Coles e-gift card at self checkout not long ago. should be able to buy any 3rd party gift card at self checkout.
I recently tried to buy a Netflix gift card using a Coles GC via self service checkout and it wouldn’t let me do it. Had worked fine in the past.
Every time that there is a gift card special that I like, I just go to the cashier, and buy other goods along with the gift card using coles gift cards and I am always successful.
Don't the eftpos cards cost an additional $4-5 tho? Negating any savings
In my case, it’s the 3rd party gc itself that need the staff authorization to activate in the self-service. The payment with Coles gc worked just like cc (I’d suggest to wait the staff to walk away after the activation though, before paying, to avoid hassle :)).

Definitely max redemption of 5 online, likely the same in store but not too sure.

@linton: I ended up with a really dopey trainee and the queue behind me was a mile long a few days before christmas.
You can use as many as you like but after 5/10 cards, they need to photocopy your ID in case of gift card fraud.
During last jbhifi 15% gift card deal, I had 15 gc. I went to few stores and asked them to merge them into 3, depending on who you have it can be possible. I tried few store near me: jb carseldine very easy, jb chermside had to ask the manager, jb kedron a flat no.
I bet you that the Ultimate cards sell out quickly or they would have no stock.
Can be collected once per household… So cannot stack multiple cards:(

It says Ultimate Teens in the promo, not Ultimate Kids (even though they're both essentially the same thing). Maybe that's why you guys didn't get your 2000 points? 🤔
