OMG… i just purchased something yesterday @ full price!

I called the online team and they were helpful and I get a refund back to my card. :D

I'll just buy the item @ discounted price while I wait for the refund hehehe

Please hand in your Ozbargain membership or don't ever speak of this again.
Professionals don't buy anything at full price.

I've just reported him to the mods.

          :( I love you though

        • @hasher22:

          I did it for love.

Just like Scab, I reported you to the mods.

    Bummer.

    • They must have caught on, shame.
Back in late October this weight set was reduced to $140 from $200 -
      http://www.rebelsport.com.au/Product/Celsius-50kg-Weight-Set…
After 20% off (due to 20% off everything on 21/10) I paid $111.99 + $8.40 back from cash rewards. Just about half normal price!
      Maybe its worth trying?

      • Only if using discounted gift cards from Amex promos
        Then it’s bargain territory

        • +5

Nay professionals get their rebel gc from half price Weet-Bix bought with discounted woolworths egc which was bought with discounted visa1 gift cards from Amex promos.

I bet you hardly know how much you've actually spent.
And how much weight you've gained from those weet-bix/up&go bars.

        • @truetypezk:

They were tracking IP address so had to stop at 4 vouchers

        • @Peanut money:
The easiest way to get multiple IPs is to hotspot from your phone. Just turn offline and back on and you will get a diff IP.

You can also you Tor but it tends to be much slower than hotspot.

        • No, used amex to pay

        • @truetypezk:
          Nice one

  • What cashback is the poster mentioning?

    • Cash Rewards, which is the link the OP provided! An external company who provides cashback for clicking through their site.

      • The cashback button says it’s 3% or is it increasing to 6% just for Saturday?

        • +1

Increasing just for tomorrow it looks like, I asked TA and that’s what he said.

  • Perfect timing for me as I just signed up for a free boot camp in Feb! Need some clothing to hide my pale and skinny arms and legs…

    Reminder set.

    Happy Australia Day, Tightarse.

    Australians all let us rejoice,

For we are young and tight,

We've got tight arse and wealth for class,

Our arse is girt by cheeks,

Our bum abounds in nature's gifts,

Of arses tight with no hair,

In history's page, let every stage,

    Advance Australia Fair.

    Still too expensive

    • It is expensive……They should do 30% - 40% off one day. Everything is overpriced there

  • "Ensure last click before purchase is from CR.(cashrewards.com.au)" - how do you ensure last click when CR opens a new window into another website

    • +5

Yep, that’s fine. Just finish your shopping in that new window without clicking around to other websites (Google, review sites, comparison sites, OzB etc. Remember, cashback tracking is based on last click, so as long as that last click from CR is to the store you need to purchase from, then the cookie remains intact. Also, don’t forget to disable AdBlock, uBlock etc as these cause havoc with cookies. Enjoy your Australia Day :)

      • +2

so, go to CR (log in, search the store), then do whatever you need to do at that website and checkout?

        • +3

Spot on mbck. If you leave the store, chances are you’ll drop the tracking cookie somewhere else, and that site will then be awarded the sale. This is the primary reason transactions are untracked or attributed to other publishers/channels.

  • I found that CR is not worth IF the store is affiliated with Qantas Frequent Flyer Mall. I think with rebel, you get 4 QFF pts per dollar.

    • Pretty sure that 6% cash back is more valuable than 4 qantas points per dollar.

      • +1

back in the day when i was a point hunter, most people valued points at about 1pt/1c

      • guess it depends if you think a few bucks from CR is worth it over extra help to your free upgrade etcetc

  • +1

Looks like the reductions are showing on the site but CR hasn't updated to 6% yet.

    • +1

CR will update to 6% at midnight sharp :)

  • good

  • Seems that it has already gone live, Vivoactives are $399.20 for slate and $359 for silver.

    • Well the increased cash back hasn’t started yet…

  • Been waiting for a decent code to buy a Fitbit Ionic, but they're not on their website as of Wednesday…

    Coincidence??

  • +2

All good to go. Cashrewards 6% and Rebel discounts are live

  • ok,it is cheaper but still a little expensive…

  • Can you use e-gift cards online with Rebel?

    • You can but only one gift card per purchase which is BS

      • Get them combined, i’ve always found they were happy to take smaller gift cards and merge them into a larger one when you tell them you’re trying to use them online.

    • I think if you did, you wouldn't get any cash back so it's one or the other.

  • be nice if they had stock of anything.. both boxing bag combos and hooks sold out in all 5 nearest stores in SA.. $40 for delivery negates any savings.

  • Went into 3 Rebels in northern Melbourne suburbs, terrible stock levels. 3 shoes I was considering were just not available nor was the gym top in anything pther than XS. 3rd salesperson tried the whole sales pitch to alternative product, I walked out.

  • +1

YMMV: if the shipping cost is massive (eg $199.95 for a bike I was looking at) it is worth ringing the store and asking if they have the item in stock. The guy on the phone was able to provide me with a free shipping code as they do not stock bikes. I believe the code is is unique as he said he had to generate while I was on the phone.

  • Thanks Ta just bought converse for kids!

  • Might be too late to order now, but there is 10% off eGift cards for Rebel via the Entertainment Book. You'd still be eligible for CashRewards too.

They take up to 2 days for delivery though.

    • +1

You'd still be eligible for Cashrewards too.

      Just bear in mind…

Cashback may not be payable if a gift card is purchased or used for payment.

      • +1

Ah sorry, missed that. Assumed because it goes through the standard payment channel.

just purchased the rebel gift card from woolies, rebel sport site shows $0 balance, does anyone know how long it takes to be activated? thanks

    • Same bloody problem - purchased a $100 card this morning to use, and the stupid thing shows $0.00, and if I try to activate it on their site it comes up with an error. Not happy Jan… don't know whether to purchase what I want by credit card and see if they'll refund / let me use the voucher after, or to not bother and be stuck with a $100 card I don't want.

      • i m thinking to use afterpay if credit still not arrived by 11:55pm, but not sure if we can pay by giftcard.

    • I've done the same thing, went to the counter and they said it takes 24-48 hours to get it activated. Bummer.
