I was researching polarized glasses and came across duduma. They are # 2 on amazon list and seem to generally get good reviews. Prices on ebay are from $55. The Duduma AU store on Amazon seems to be the cheapest in Australia - similar to amazon prime prices. 1/2/18 now ranked #1 and #2 on US amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/sporting-goods/2204481…

I decided to not get mirrored sunglasses, because I just couldn't see myself wearing them.

  • There are even some for $14.99

  • i always buy these polarised sunglasses from aliexpress for US$1.44 a pair delivered

I buy 3 or 4 pairs at a time as I either lose them, give them away or break them.

    $2 a pop for polarised UV400 sunglasses

    • You really believe you are getting polarised glasses with UV400 protection for under $2???

do you believe that it really costs more than $2 to make a pair of polarised sunglasses?????

while I agree in general, best sunnies I've had are Maui Jim and these el cheapos has nothing against them

        • Honestly, yes i do. And even if it was just $2 to make them why would someone sell them for under $2 and even pay shipping?

        • @enzioFirenze: yes ,I have a couple of pairs of Maui Jim's but you can't wear them to work,
And you can't compare them to disposables ???

        • @Beach Bum: true and true, I was just replying to altomic that the quality (by that, I don't even mean build quality/style etc, just the quality of the polarisation lens) is at very different scales and I really can't tolerate the el cheapo ones, YMMV though!

      • You can actually check to see if they're polarised. But you can obviously trust "Super Cool Unisex Men's Women's fashion Polarized UV Protect Resin Lens Driving Sunglasses Glasses".

        • yes, easy to check polarisation. they are polarised (well, the previous 5 pairs I've bought have been)

    • I've bought cheap polarized sunglasses before. The quality of the polarization coat is very very cheap, gave me headaches.

    • I am wearing VEITHDIA since October and pretty impressed with them so far, costs around 15$ from AliExpress.

  • For $30 odd , maybe better off with cancer council Sunny's.
    At least they're rated.

And haven't we argued this all before?

    • Where can I get them $30 odd at the moment?

      • Big W

  • Traditionally I've only ever bought $7.00 safety glasses that are UV rated; yellow for mountain biking and bush walking, dark for driving. But I was after polarized glasses - hence the duduma's.

  • Nothing wrong with you're post , good jumping off point for an informative discussion on people's preferences
I know I'm always looking for better , more affordable sunnies I can wear around the yard and trash
