Seriously they are way different while still hot from cooking, I cant get them anywhere but from where they make them now.

They’re opening new stores? Wasn’t long ago they were closing down a few
AFAIK, they only ever had one stoe (fountain gate) that makes doughnuts. The rest resell what's made in a factory, which was never popular.
If this place makes fresh, it should be more popular.
Bulleen area is starved for variety. So this should get a good "something new to go to" bump.

A new store opened here in Brisbane and I asked the guy behind the counter if they make them in-house and he said no, they just glaze them.
Nah you can see the raw dough dropping into hot oil and the rest on a big line in Fountain Gate (Vic)
Fresh off the line original has the same addictiveness as heroin imho.
Won't be a Factory Store based on the staff they are/were looking for:

When the first store came to Penrith (NSW) I remember lining up around the corner and the drive in queue 200 metres long. After a few months the queues died down to a trickle and there always seemed to be a police car (or two) always parked outside. Never forget the freebies they feed those in queue while the customers watched the fresh donuts on conveyor belts run through the icing waterfall………
when the expanded everywhere then penrith died down, now they don't make it fresh anymore there which is a shame, I actually like the idea of having to go all the way there and whenever someone got krispy kreme donuts they knew that it came all the way from penrith and it just made it awesome lol

Well it is Penrith.
Same thing happened at the first Melbourne store. People were lined up in cars for over 2 hours. I waited a few weeks, then one morning I drove past and noticed no line so just went straight in and bought two boxes.
First time trying them and didn't care much for original glazed. The flavoured ones though were great.
Has to be fresh otherwise might as well just go to 711

This store is near my place, exactly next to the bulk bill GP, I wouldn't be surprise if the GP put a "free diabetes check" banner on the day KK opens haha
